The lounge was very nice and the staff very congenial. The front desk person was also very nice. The rooms are in serious need of maintenance and repair and updating. Bath plumbing problems, non-working phone. Freeway side is noisy. There have to be better deals in the area.

Good afternoon, Thank you very much for the kind words about our lounge and staff, and thank you for the detailed feedback. I am sorry to read that you had a bad experience with your room. We are indeed constantly updating and striving for the best guest experience possible, but it sounds like we could have done better for your last stay. I have taken note of the issues you have addressed and will make sure our team is aware and fixing them to the best of our ability. I would love an opportunity to connect to see what else we can do to make up for this. Please feel free to reach me at the hotel at your convenience. My apologies once again, and hope you have a good day. All the best, Nick Maida Front Desk Manager

I had a fantastic three-night stay at the Inn at the Commons. The room was spacious and quiet, the bed incredibly comfortable and my room also had a nice patio area with a table and chairs to enjoy the afternoon sun. It was a short walk to restaurants and nightlife. I also ate at the Larks restaurant which was delicious. Thank you to the more than accommodating staff for a lovely stay.

A refreshing surprise. Great staff, pet friendly, great beds and clean rooms. I will stay here whenever in Medford. Great food options nearby and gym access. Early checking was accommodated along with a dog treat for the pup. TV selection also above par.

The Neuman Group has taken an old 2-story outside corridor Red Lion Inn and attempted to refurbish the 118 rooms and lobby. There are several issues that are not resolved, however. 1. There are only stairs to the 2nd floor of the buildings. So luggage must be schlepped up steps. 2. It is in a terrible neighborhood that is being redeveloped. Our first night at the hotel, I awoke in the morning to see that a kryptonite bicycle lock had been severed from a car's bicycle rack and the bike was gone. The next day, I found that my car had been egged. The trajectory made it appear that the egg had been thrown from the 2nd floor exterior corridor. 3. The buffet breakfast is pretty bad. The "scrambled eggs" must have been made with liquid or powdered eggs because they were dry and had no flavor associated with eggs. The country potatoes were watery and flavorless and seemed to be made from something other than fresh potatoes. 4. The Lark Restaurant is incapable of promptly serving orders. We waited about a half hour for a salad and an omelette. We had theater tickets and ended up having 5 minutes to gulp down part of our brunch. The room was not that full, even though it was Fathers' Day. The best part of our stay was the friendly and helpful front desk staff. In sum, the owners have a long way to go to make this a valuable property.

Hey there, Pat. I appreciate the feedback, but sounds like you had quite a few negative experiences. That is not the standard we set here at our hotel, nor should anyone have to deal with all the frustrations you had. I just wanted to reach out, apologize, and see if there was anything we can do to set things right. I would love a chance to discuss this further and see what we can do to make up for these experiences. Thank you again for sharing this with us, and I promise we will do everything we can to make things right with you as well as take the necessary measures to ensure these issues to not happen to anyone else.

I was there for an event so the prices were discounted which made them less expensive than other similar places to stay. The rooms were clean and nicely furnished. I was in a room with a king bed, a comfortable chair with an ottoman and a desk. The hot breakfast included 2 types of eggs, scrambled and scrambled with different ingredients each day, like bacon, ham, onions, peppers, etc. The usual cold foods wer available also, such as yogurt, cereal, muffins, bread, baked goods and so on.
