We love McMenamins and try to frequent them when traveling. This hotel was dog-friendly which was key for our one night overnight stay in McMinnville. The hotel has a perfect location with friendly staff. We were prepared by the reviews for the noise but it was harder for the dog than we imagined. Gorgeous old hotel with rooms that are... More

Stopped in for lunch and drinks today to get our Passports stamped. Hotel has been restored to its heyday, beautiful dark wood, brass, and vintage fixtures. Cool rooftop bar, better cellar bar. Always fun to track down the mystery picture for a stamp!

On a recent trip down the coast to Sonoma we overnighted one of my favorite hotels. As always the service was great. The room comfortable and the staff doing there usual bend over backwards to assist. Great place, Good rates. plus the Roof Top Bar is the best.

We stopped here for drink and some light food on our way from the beach to Portland. Great Bloody Mary and delicious apps. We wen up to the roof which was a lot of fun. I would like to return and stay for a night or two. The hotel has a great vintage feel to it - very cool!

We did not stay at the hotel, or even eat at the hotel, but we walked around every floor and went into every bar to just check it out. It is really well done. There are beautiful sitting rooms; tons of unique, historically relevant artwork; and fun bars on the roof, in the cellar, and in-between! I did have a... More

I preface my review with this McMenamins with the full understanding that this is a "Historic" hotel with multiple bars and live music on the property. You have to expect thin walls, old doors, live music, partying guests, etc. when you stay. It is a fun time but there are trade-offs. Rooms are small, not much room on the side... More

We enjoyed a catered meal at this restored hotel. Take a walk to the rooftop bar at sunset. This was a highlight to set off the evening before the wedding. We were scheduled to stay a hotel near the vineyard so I have no remarks regarding the hotel itself.

It was hard to rate this hotel, but as a whole, while the hotel had nice features like the sitting room and restaurant, the room itself offered minimum comfort. We stayed in one queen room. Our friends in another. I tried to call our friends but somehow the phone was hidden in a cabinet. There was room enough for the... More

Descriptions of rooms on website need to be more specific. "Compact Queen w/ Private Bath" is much more than just compact! There is no chair, no table and no shelf to put anything on! Two people can barely enter the room together. You are given sets of earplugs - and you may need them! Hotel is way overpriced! Parking is... More

Loved the rooftop restaurant and bar. And the other restaurants would be good in rainy weather Building is old. Get the queen room with ensuite bath. Still very small but ok for a night Many quaint shops and restaurants on the Main Street Could spend a day or two wine tasting in the area

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
On McMinnville's charming, old main street, Hotel Oregon strikes an inviting pose - as it has since 1905. Once home to a restaurant and lounge, banquet hall, Greyhound bus depot, Western Union, soda fountain and beauty parlor, the handsome four-story building we call Hotel Oregon is a delightful destination in the heart of Oregon's wine country.Warm lighting in the first floor pub, cozy tables and an impressive 40-foot long back bar invite close conversation over the glint of a fresh pint or maybe a game of shuffle board in the Paragon room. Artwork and wall hangings inspire thoughts of the past and a trip to the subterranean bistro-style Cellar Bar or magnificent Rooftop Bar (with its breathtaking 360-degree view of the region) are a must for any visitor to the hotel. ... more   less
