I guess I like them. Every time we stay at one of their hotels we have fun. With small rooms, shared baths and funky decor they will not please every one but we like them a lot. It beats the alternatives in McMinnville by a mile. The food here is over priced and there are other choices nearby. The staff...

Very cozy retreat for couple, great food, service, rooms are great, atmosphere is perfect, will go back many times. Would love to stay for a full week and explore more wineries. It's never to far to drive for such a great place to relax

I love this place. I've been here several times. My wife and I like to spend a weekend here once in a while just for a little getaway. The hotel must be close to a hundred years old, but has been beautifully remodeled. Of course, being an old hotel, the walls are a little thin (can be noisy) and the...

First off - to give some context, I own a 110 yr old Victorian house, so I very much appreciate the character of old houses/hotels, and their architecture. However, this place creeped me out from the minute we walked in. We were looking for a place for two nights, while checking out wine country. To be fair - The staff...

Tracy- I am sorry that our hotel was not a good fit for you. I do appreciate you giving us a try and many of our other hotels have more of the modern amenities that people are looking for in a hotel. We hope to see you again soon, if not here maybe one of our other hotels. Cheers- Dani...

This hotel was amusingly decorated with great odd (and regional) art. It also has 3 bars and a restaurant in the building and they are all worth visiting. The shared bathroom was extremely clean and sanitary and big enough to feel private while showering. The staff was also beyond helpful, giving us just the kinds of information and recommendations we...

I visited the area again and stayed at the McMenamins Hotel Oregon. As I sip coffee from my red coffee cup I purchased at the Hotel before I left, I want to say I had a great time once again. This time I visited the bar downstairs and listened to local music. That was fun too. My room was on...

Old hotel (more like a hostel in Europe) with lots of great art, even in the elevators. The room featured a sink and a small armoire with the bathroom down the hall. They did provide robes in case you wanted to parade. I did and saw a few other patrons as I walked to the bathroom. Lively roof bar, street...

I probably should have declined my room the minute I saw the earplugs they provide in the room (I've stayed at a LOT of hotels and first time I've seen a hotel do that) I'm writing this a 3:30am after the bars closed down but the sound of running water in my room (303) is loud enough to keep me...

Phil- I am sorry that you did not have a restful nights sleep. We are in the heart of a small downtown area with lots of restaurants and bars near by. We also are in an historical building that has thin walls. We are glad that you enjoyed our restaurant and bars enough to come back for a cocktail and...

This is one of a handful of McMenamins's historic properties that was originally built as a hotel. In this case, construction occurred in 1905. Our room was small by modern standard but perfectly adequate. There is no TV, microwave or refrigerator, but those modern features would be out of place. In this old building noise travels, so don't expect complete...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
On McMinnville's charming, old main street, Hotel Oregon strikes an inviting pose - as it has since 1905. Once home to a restaurant and lounge, banquet hall, Greyhound bus depot, Western Union, soda fountain and beauty parlor, the handsome four-story building we call Hotel Oregon is a delightful destination in the heart of Oregon's wine country.Warm lighting in the first floor pub, cozy tables and an impressive 40-foot long back bar invite close conversation over the glint of a fresh pint or maybe a game of shuffle board in the Paragon room. Artwork and wall hangings inspire thoughts of the past and a trip to the subterranean bistro-style Cellar Bar or magnificent Rooftop Bar (with its breathtaking 360-degree view of the region) are a must for any visitor to the hotel. ... more   less
