I don't know why this place only has 3 stars. For what it is, it is solid. Some foljs have said the place is "run down" but I don't agree with that at all. It is not a five star luxury resort, so expectations need to be realistic. Our lodge room is basic but comfortable and the bathroom is huge... More

This is like the parable of the blind men and the elephant-- it depends on what part you are feeling. It is a hot springs, lodge, cabin, RV, and tent resort. We had RV spot #3, right on the river. Trouble is, #'s 1, 2 and 4 were a family reunion. Their spots were so overbooked (6-8 each?) they couldn't... More

Originally went for the hot spring pool but decided to stay once we got there and looked around and found out they still had a room available. The rooms are a little older but great for a three person family. They had free DVDs for us to take to the room. The soaking pools were fantastic, could have spent all... More

Spent two nights in mountain home #15 with family. It was great! The rooms in the mountain home were very spacious and clean. This was better than staying in a hotel. As we were 1300 miles away from our own home this mountain home made the whole family feel at home. The scenery is also awesome! Check in and check... More

The surroundings are BEAUTIFUL! The lodge is run down and only a/c on the 3rd floor. But it was clean. We came for the river, hot sprigs and secret garden...all well worth it! Don't come looking for high end, just figure camping with a roof over your head. But then again...your in the woods, so you shouldn't be in your... More

My wife has a physician registered service dog for balance and mobility. We were told by the woman taking reservations we were trying to defraud her, and she informed us that if we wanted to sleep with animals, we should sleep in a barn. I have never written a review before, but I figured I would share.

My husband and I went to Belknap for the day to soak in the hot spring pool and have a picnic in the gardens. Before going into the pool, we wanted to walk their forested pathways and find the 'secret garden' that friends had told us about to have a picnic there. They gave us a trail map that was... More

My family likes to take risks...so despite the pretty rough reviews about Belknap we had read on this site, we took the plunge and booked Cabin #7, the big house, for a family and friend birthday gathering. We were pleasantly surprised! Pros: 1--Cabin #7 was incredibly spacious and had all the amenities needed for our party of 13 who wanted... More

Belknap Hot Springs is a great place. You can spend a lot of money to stay or you can tent it for about $35.00 a night. There is a lodge, houses or cabins. It is a great place for families. There were children riding bikes and playing hide and seek. There is lots of places to walk and discover. The... More

Great place if you're a laid back person not expecting 5-star quality...this place is great for people who want a beautiful place to visit with the McKenzie River rumbling alongside warm soaking pools filled with mineral water coming out of the ground...the river will put you to sleep on better than average beds or if you're in your own RV...
