We loved our mini moon at the beautiful and comfortable Coast Cabins. The location is so convenient with all the best restaurants, stores and sights a few steps away. The hot tub and entire unit was very clean.

Overall, the location and cabin #2 were as expected and pics shown, minus the saturation. Cute little room with small half kitchen and bath to play up the glamping feel in a pocket oasis on the main road towards the beach. I planned to stay for a couple of nights but left early since I wasn't feeling well. One of the reasons was due to the smoke from the communal pit sneaking into my cabin. I was hoping that I could enjoy the ocean breeze with all windows open, but unfortunately that wasn't what happened. Instead all the smoke was free flowing into the room. The pit was burning all day since I got there at 2pm (although no one was at the pit) and until the late evening when I took off. On top of that, the pillowcases were still wet from what I can only assume was laundry since I had just gotten there. The worse part was that the sheets not only smelled unwashed, there was a big darkish stain in the middle of the bed. I wanted to enjoy the stay but with the smoke inhalation and poor smelling bedding, I became nauseated and had to leave. I didn't ask for money back or a discount because I figured I booked, but there should be some warning about the constant all-day smoke coming into the room when the windows are open, especially for those who have health issues. Also, may want to use more detergent for the sheets so they smell clean.

Dear Lo H, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your recent stay in cabin #2. We appreciate your compliments on the location and the accurate representation of the cabin through our website. We were sorry to hear that you were not feeling well and suffer from extreme allergies, but the request to extinguish the communal fire pit and all private wood barbecues on the entire property for the duration of the Memorial Weekend was not possible as there were many guests enjoying the amenities. Our fire pit is a well-loved feature of our property, positioned on the far end away from cabin 2. It is displayed prominently on our website as a featured amenity. In regard to the bedding concerns you mentioned, we assure you that our housekeeping staff takes great pride in their work, ensuring that our crisp, white, organic, hand-pressed linens are fresh for every guest. If there were any issues with the linens, we would have promptly addressed it had we been made aware during your stay. Again, we thank you for your feedback and hope that you felt better on your trip back home. Warm regards, Kerry D General Manager

My husband and I spent two wonderful days at the Coast Cabins. we stayed in the delightful South Tower Cabin. The bed was very comfortable and the towels were thick and fluffy. The two story cabin had a great view. The landscaping was unusual with all different colors of bamboo including black! The cabin had a fully equipped kitchen. We were greeted with a glass of wine and snacks all ready for us in the cabin. It was a relaxing two nights!

We stayed at Sea Cliff and it was amazing! The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare a gourmet meal. Amazing view of the ocean out the front living area and beautiful trees shading the back. The bed was so comfy! We liked the pillows so much we bought one when we got home. It was chilly when we were there so the fireplace was a definite bonus. Management left us a lovely care package to enjoy while we stayed and now we are hooked on Oregon raw hazelnuts! Wonderful stay. Quiet and quick drive down to a pristine beach.

because of a double booking we were offered a loft rather than our regular cabin, which would have left me pouting except that the place was huge, lovely, and far better equipped for the two day power outage experienced by all in Manzanita and Tillamook county while we were there. The management went out of their way to make sure that every little thing was taken care of, and while they couldn't bring our power back on, there was a fire in the famous firepit every day and happy hour went on as usual!

This was a lovely place. We stayed in cabin #2, which was the only one available and is ADA compliant. The setting is elegant MCM. The owners and manager have thought of everything you might want for a perfect vacation. Despite the Winter storm raging outside our first night, we slept like babes. It helps that the cabins are back from the beach, though still an easy stroll away. You are welcomed with a basket of treats and a glass of wine. Beds and pillows are perfect, We are still cautious and not eating in restaurants, but no problem, because there is excellent takeout nearby and all the dishes you need. The French press coffee was excellent and espresso is also available. We will be back as our only regret is that due to inclement weather, we couldn't really enjoy the beautiful landscaping and lounge around outside.

We've been staying in cabin #5 once or twice a year for the past 10. It's large and comfortable with both a sauna and hot tub. One note of caution--the stairs to the bedroom and bath are steep. And Manzanita is lovely.

We stayed at Coast Cabins at the end of a two-week trip through the Pacific Northwest. We wanted to splurge for a couple of nights at the end of our family vacation. We booked the "Modern Ranch" cabin, and it lived up to the online photos and description. The living room, bedroom and outdoor space were all luxurious. We enjoyed the glass of wine upon check-in and relaxed in the hot tub. The next morning, we left to explore the surrounding Oregon Coast. We had keys to our cabin and the gated entry to our cabin, so we locked both doors. The front gate to the cabin faces the road and anyone could enter our individual unit so we thought it was best to lock the gate as well as the door to our unit. I'm sure we are not the first guests to secure both doors. When we returned in the late afternoon, we discovered that the cabin had not be cleaned, even though we were told there would be daily housekeeping. We went to the front desk and were told that since we had locked the front gate, housekeeping didn't enter our cabin. The general manager didn't even apologize at first and basically implied it was our fault that our cabin had not been cleaned. We were annoyed, to say the least. We expected to come home after a long day of hiking and exploring to a freshly made bed, fresh towels, etc...everything you would expect from a basic hotel, let alone a luxury property. When I informed the woman who had checked us in, who had given me her mobile number, she also said the front gate was locked and housekeeping took it to mean that we didn't want a freshen. How strange? No one told us upon check-in that we shouldn't lock the front gate in order to receive housekeeping. Why give us a key to the front gate if you don't expect guests to lock it when leaving the property? Doesn't housekeeping have a master key? If housekeeping is unsure, shouldn't the property call the guest to ask if they want a freshen? The GM offered us a late check-out and a bottle of wine as an apology, but we had to leave early the next morning to catch a flight. We also couldn't enjoy the bottle of wine because we had already opened a bottle of wine when we returned and we are not lushes. The experience left a bad taste in our mouth to what otherwise was a delightful stay. I wish I could give two ratings for Coast Cabins: 5 stars for the cabin; 2 stars for customer service. That's why I gave it 3 stars overall.

Dear Meeter1971, Thank you for the very nice review of The Modern Ranch. It is a special place that creates a wonderful relaxing environment! We are so glad you enjoyed it! I always want our guests to have the best overall experience and pride myself on many years of excellent customer service. I again apologize that we did not meet your expectations. I immediately offered to have my gal come right over and offered you a glass of wine to sip on while she freshened the Ranch. She was told you only wanted towels. The gate has been locked in the past for "privacy" and can be awkward if entered. We have reviewed the locked gate issue with staff and will handle the gate being locked differently going forward. That bottle of wine and a late checkout still stands if you visit the PNW again!

Fairly last minute overnight trip for our anniversary wasn’t turning up many options. The Oregon coast is always crazy busy in the summer. I found Coast Cabins and lucked out when the Cottage had an open night. Although the rates are on the pricey side, boy do they do EVERYTHING right. From Elizabeth’s friendly greeting and beverages to the high end selections of linens, kitchen ware, music system, treats, etc, etc, we were just blown away by how wonderful the experience was in a small space. Well done!
