#1 of 3 B&Bs / Inns in Manzanita
Lovely, quaint, great rooms, inexpensive, a great location, and the people are friendly ... that’s how our guests describe Spindrift Inn. This cozy 14 room cottage-style rural inn is just a block from a 7 mile beach in Manzanita, on Oregon’s gorgeous North Coast. Mountains meet the sea, surrounded by two State Parks, forests and the Pacific Ocean. In our inn you will find no smoking, pillowtop beds, some suites, some kitchenettes, and some pet-friendly rooms (call ahead to be sure). Off the highway, Manzanita’s small commercial district is nestled among cabins and cottages - perfect to park and walkabout. There are shops with trendy clothing, natural food, and severalrestaurants . And the connection with Nature is superb ... you can re-fresh, rejuvenate and be re-inspired when you return home. Or stay forever (we did). Come visit us ...

Have been staying at this hotel since the late 90's. Just recently the service and accomidation have gotten questionable.....Made reservcations in May, was called the night before to say they were cancelling my reservation due to upgrading their rooms and services. No compensation or rebooking asked! Made reservations in June (4 rooms). When we arrived at 4:00 we were told a few of the rooms were not ready and could we come back at 5:00. We did...one room still had not been cleaned and 2 rooms had sheets that had not been changed....dog hair as well as human pubic hair! Not good, but we just chalked it up to Covid and staffing, changed the sheets, swept the floors and wiped things down with our own alcohol and lyosiol.....Made the best of it. While there in June we booked again, we were told better staffing and services will be had by then and not to worry. We booked 4 rooms, this time we asked to have Rm 9 which is on the end along with Rm 6, 7 and 14. Rm 9 was not available in June due to plumming issues, but would be open to reserve in Sept when our return trip was booked. This week we had to change our reservations from Sept to Oct 1st due to scheduling conflicts. I booked online with the same rooms. I get an email saying we could not have these rooms due to rebooking, eventhough they were open when I booked for Oct 1st! I have called to try to figure things out so our family can stay in the pod we had previously stayed but no return call. The emails have been unoccommindating as well.... Not sure what has happened to this once great place to stay, their excellent customer service and cleaniness have gone down hill.... it makes me sad and upset.....not sure I would recommend this place unless their services change back to how they use to be! Cant blame it on Covid....it is the people!

We stayed over the Thanksgiving weekend. The hotel is older but well maintained and very clean. It is very close to the beach in the heart of Manzanita. Best part is they are dog friendly! Spacious room, kitchenette, parking, and wifi as well as a library of movies to borrow from.

Came away slightly disappointed with the Spindrift. Some reviews have described it as cosy. I would actually say small rooms.Thought it was fairly basic and didn't find the bed particularly comfortable. Location is good and communications were good as well. Near to good a good bar and also a bakery. Manzanita is a pleasant resort.

Hi Martin, Thank you for your review. I'm sorry that the room didn't suit your needs. The room you were in is 1 of 2 small queen bedrooms we have here. The rest of our rooms are quite spacious with 2 queen beds and kitchenettes. Hopefully you can come back and stay in a larger room and feel a bit more comfortable.

Very pleasant proprietress (didn't meet her husband). Room was comfortable, chill and had anything we needed. Quiet street outside, good parking, nice to be right near the beach. Overall, I just plain old liked the place.

This is a great little inexpensive hotel just a few blocks from the beach. The room was clean and spacious. My kids loved the DVD library in the lobby. My only complaint was that it could get a bit muggy inside the room unless the windows were open, but, still a great experience over all and would definitely stay here again.
