The front desk staff and entry ambiance are very nice. When we got to our room the door was ajar, we checked with the front desk and they assured us no one would be in the room. He was right but the front entry was sticky, you could see where a soda or something was spilled. I used our own cleansing wipes to mop the floor, ugh. COVD breakfast selection was fine, again staff very nice. I did notice that the housekeeping staff didn't have on masks but they weren't interacting with guests. Would not stay hear again, once people started waking up it was noisy.
My cousin and I stayed 2 nights. Desk clerks are so very nice and helpful. Early morning we were craving a Starbucks coffee, one of the attendants DROVE me to Safeway to pick one up! That was so wonderful! The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Great air conditioner! Quiet room, everything was perfect. The lobby is stunning. We will return💕 DeAnn Chambers
Kudos to the front desk staff for helpfulness and welcoming spirit (day and (evening). Hotel has been updated, was clean and comfortable. Entry level room was spacious and comfortable. I would recommend 3rd floor to alleviate overhead foot noise. We would definitely stay there again. They even provided morning food bags in lieu of breakfast because if the covid restrictions.
We spent one night at this hotel when we were touring Oregon. It is a really lovely hotel with a large foyer that looks a bit like a hunting lodge. We booked the previous night and check-in was smooth and welcoming. The room was very comfortable and clean. There is a lift. Breakfast was good - hot food/cereals/fruit etc. I was going to have a bowl of porridge and then found out it was actually sausage gravy! NB Gravy in the UK is brown and certainly not served on scones for breakfast! Plenty of places nearby or a short car journey away to eat. The next day the man on the desk kindly printed out directions to a lovely lake for us to visit on our way to Kelso. We would have liked to stay there longer.
Save your money and book at another hotel in Madras. Upon checking in, I stood at the front desk for 5 minutes and then finally rang the bell. The front desk person came out behind the door and told me he was watching the news. He tried to give me an update of the worlds events like I did not have a smart phone. I reserved two rooms over Labor Day and the price was definitely not worth it. The carpet and furnishing were extremely outdated for the price of the rooms. Carpet was rolled up in some of the hallways, so be careful not to trip over them. There was dust build up in every corner of the rooms on the carpet. DO NOT work on the trend mill at this facility as they are from the early 1990's and I almost fell off of it due to the narrow and worn-out track. Tried to check out 1 hour late and was denied; you would think with the lack of decent, clean carpet and out dated things throughout they would have at least granted me a late check-out. I will be booking at Econo Lodge or Quality Inn for future basketball trips to Madras.…
