The Coho Oceanfront Lodge has completed a multi-million-dollar expansion that includes a spacious front lobby, enhanced fire pit area, new oceanfront suites, and a remodeled breakfast room. With this completed renovation, the entire building is now accessible by elevator. The new lobby face-lift and expansion features an eclectic, casual mid-century modern beach vibe that has now doubled in size. Freshly brewed coffee by Portland Roasting Company is always available, as well as filtered ice water in the inviting space. The hotel will also soon be bringing back its weekly guest social featuring local wines, craft beers, and hors d’oeuvres. The new communal fire pit area is majestically positioned directly on the ocean side, providing unobstructed, amazing panoramic views of the Pacific Coastline and Cascade Head. The space features multiple seating areas, an LED-lit stairwell and a glass facade. An ADA accessible fire pit is located at the top of the cliff. The newly renovated breakfast area, designed with the whole family in mind, now includes a large communal table. Fresh fruit, pastries, eggs, sausage, waffles, and fresh-to-order smoothies with natural seasonal ingredients will soon be available. In addition, four new oceanfront suites have been added to the boutique hotel. The rooms feature over-sized soaking tubs with sunset views, a gas fireplace, luxurious bathroom, sitting area, and embroidered bathrobes for guests to use. The Coho Oceanfront Lodge also offers select pet-friendly units.

I had to go to the coast for a business trip and end up staying at this beautiful place. The room was fantastic and the view was incredible. Sure I was there for business, but who says I can't have a glass of wine and enjoy the sunset! It was was amazingly clean and felt brand new! The staff was super friendly and took care of all my needs with a smile. Next time I'll will bring the wife and make a romantic weekend out of it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

I called the front desk at 1:18 AM to complain about noise in the room above mine. Kids were jumping up and down and rolling a ball across the floor. My first call I was told it would be dealt with. The second call I was told the manager would go to the room. My third call I said I would go to the room myself. At this point the manager started yelling at me telling me that if I went to the room with the noise he would charge me with harassment and call the authorities and have me evicted from the property. The noise continued for another 45 minutes. I called the front desk to check out at 11:00 AM and mentioned that I wanted to file a complaint. The front desk manager said, "Oh yes, I see you had an issue and I would like your point of view." If someone wanted my point of view, I would have been called.

Thank you for staying with us and providing feedback about your stay. I appreciated you taking the time to speak with me over the phone and offering me the opportunity to apologize for how the situation was handled. We always want our guests to have a restful sleep, but when that is disturbed the situation should be handled quickly and tactfully. I apologize again that it was not in this instance. Please feel free to reach out to me again if you have any further concerns. Victoria Fox Hotel Manager gm@thecoholodge.com (541) 994-3684

I would not recommend this hotel if you want to sleep on a nice soft bed if you want to just see the view of the ocean and have a nice clean room and this is the Hotel for you. And it was storming while we were there so we did not get to see the fire pits lit but that look kind of cool

Thank you for staying with us! I'm so glad you enjoyed the view, but I apologize that you did not find the mattress comfortable. We regularly replace our mattresses to ensure that they remain in great shape--we will be sure to look into this. I do hope you'll return on a sunnier day so that you can enjoy the fire pits and have better rest.
