We have stayed many times at whistling winds. It is the best place in town for comfort with the best prices. Located within walking distance to the beach. Always clean, quaint, and special touches to each individual room. The workmanship is phenomenal in each room. Best choice in

This is a clean, comfortable, charming place to spend a few days. It is hard to believe that it dates back to the '30s. The place appears to be very recently re-done inside and out. The tub/shower and toilet look brand new and everything is spotless. The rooms have walls and

I almost don't want to write a review, because the Whistling Winds is a great place to really get away from it all. Close enough to anything you might need, it also sits very close to the beach. I'm always amazed at how quiet the rooms are, and I'm always delighted to get up earl

This motel was exactly what I was looking for when I needed a place for one night in Lincoln City. The room was spotless and cozy! I stayed in the Wacoma room, which was the perfect size for just me, but would also be great for two people without feeling cramped. TV worked great

If we had a longer vacation, we would just stay here! It's refreshing to see the care and attention to detail these folks put into their place. The room is lovely, clean, and comfortable, with many nice extra touches.

Do you serve breakfast? I think there was a section about dietary restrictions when I made my reservation, so I am curious. I can't seem to find any information on that.
Hi. I'm sorry, but we do not offer breakfast. We do have coffee makers, fridges, and microwaves in some rooms, and others, we have full kitchens.

So, I've been reading reviews and have seen some negatives about the Rooster room (not updated, dirty shower, old lumpy thin carpet, even one about there being duct tape around the windows??) My mom got us a reservation for 4 of us in that room very soon and I am beginning to wonder if it will be adequate. I'm mostly wondering if it has been renovated yet(I saw a post saying it will be the last to be renovated)? This looks like a beautiful, quiet, older hotel with lots of charm and I am hoping that the mostly positive reviews (which are why mom picked this motel) are a better indication of what we find when we get there, but has anyone stayed in the Rooster room recently? Was it clean? How were the beds(I know this one is subjective)? Is the carpet still lumpy and old as one review stated? We aren't really picky just expect clean, comfortable and friendly. I don't care that we won't have our room tidied up everyday, since I usually request that it isn't anyway. Sorry this is such a long winded post/question (set of questions really). It's just I'm hoping that our girls weekend goes off well as we are taking it to de-stress from one of us nearly dieing, one of us lost their husband recently and one of us was just in a car accident. I don't want anyone having more stress once we get there. Thanks, Kat
Hi Kat, The Rooster Room is our one remaining room that has not been renovated. It has all the original fixtures in the bathroom as well as the room heater. The kitchen appliances are updated and the beds are new (and comfortable). It does have carpet which is steam cleaned on a regular basis. The room is clean and has a cute rooster theme throughout. It is a great family room and reminds some of their grandma's house. It is important for us that our guests are comfortable and happy. Please call the motel to speak with me about this at your earliest convenience. I know this is an important getaway for you and your friends and I want to make sure you are satisfied with your room choice. Thanks - The Innkeepers
