We enjoyed our stay at the Starfish Manor Hotel. The rooms were large. Great location. The staff at the front desk was excellent. Parking was not a problem. It was very quiet. The only reason that I did not give the hotel 5 stars is because of the following: no glasses in the room, only coffee cups. Strange. We were only given one hand towel and one wash cloth. It wasn't a fluke because the same thing happened to our friends. If you want more towels you have to turn in your used towels. Even swap. There was no house cleaning, not even by request. I suppose because they are short staffed? The sink area was so tiny and no where to put toiletries etc. There was no food available in the lobby, IE, snacks, no coffee etc. The property was bought out last month and hopefully the new owners will figure out the kinks. My friend and I made reservations within minutes of each other, our rooms were identical and our room was $10. more per night. I should have complained but I didn't.

1st time they wanted to give me a room in their lower rating Hotel next door (beach front manor).. Which was not an ocean view and not what I booked. 2nd time I booked a suite for my wife’s birthday. We brought our 2 year old; she loves the ocean and she’s been at this hotel with us before. We find that the card keys to our room weren't working. I turn to head to the office and the manager quickly comes around the corner, pretending like she doesn’t know why the keys don’t work. (I’m guessing she put a stop on the card keys just in time) Kim, she’s the assistant general manager, tells me that this room isn’t available for us because they have a no children policy. We told her we’re already checked in and the two workers behind the desk didn’t say anything. She didn’t care to listen much, she made it quick and just kept saying the fire marshals don’t allow three people in those rooms. My family was with me at check in; didn’t try to hide them in the car and bring them in a side door (which that’s what I should have done lol) no signs in the lobby mentioning a no children policy, nothing on the booking website and don’t remember seeing anything on the waiver i signed for the room. I understand everyone has their rules but I felt that was pretty ridiculous what the manager pulled on me after we were already checked in. The manager did offer to put us in another room in their lower rating hotel next door (beach front manor) but no ocean view and nothing compared to a suite. After driving 2.5 hours to get there and having dinner plans I didn’t care to dispute it. Check in there is at 4pm (which really sucks!! Should be sooner) so a lot of places were already booked and on a Friday not to mention last minute higher pricing.. We did end up finding another place and things worked out.

With news of the impending heatwave in Portland, my husband and I decided to head out to the coast for cooler weather. We usually like to stay in Manzanita, but everything was full, as it was a last-minute decision, so we looked a little further south at Lincoln City. We both agreed that Starfish Manor offered what we needed, and we booked it. When we arrived, we were very pleasantly surprised with just how great this little place is. It's located where 28th dead ends into Jetty, and it's very quiet and protected (far from the constant whir of Hwy 101). The service at the front desk was efficient and friendly, and the room (oceanfront studio suite) was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable, the view from the balcony was lovely (when the fog lifted), and the jetted hot tub and gas fireplace were awesome to have on a chilly night. Also loved that the towels were very soft and they provide comfy, waffle bathrobes for the Jacuzzi. In fact, the robes were so soft and light, I wanted to buy one, but sadly they were out of supply. On the negative side, the kitchenette had literally nothing in it but a microwave and a coffeemaker. Other than two coffee mugs, there wasn't a single glass of any sort (although they do provide free water bottles, which was nice). The sink was a tiny pedestal variety and the shower was one of those refitted plastic shower liners and not all that new. But it surprised me with TWO shower heads, and the water pressure was pretty decent, so I can't really complain. The only other slight issue was that the hotel has no private beach access, so the entrance to the beach was down the street at a neighboring hotel, and down a dark flight of stairs. But all that said, it was a nice, clean place to spend a couple of nights enjoying the sea air. If I'm ever back in Lincoln City, I would consider staying here again. Note: there is no A/C, not that you ever really need it, but just thought I'd mention it, if that's your thing.

We stayed in a nautica suite in the main building, top floor. Room was quiet (or if you leave you door open the roar of the surf). Bed was comfortable with good quality linens. Staff is attentive though the room is well appointed so you don't need anything. Seems to have been recently renovated. There are rooms in two other buildings that are different I can't comment on. See photos for more details.

We love staying in the nautical room at the starfish manor. We’re grateful for the elevator in your beautiful hotel, and the quietness of it also. We hope next year your lounge will be opened back up on the 2nd floor. The Only thing that’s rough is the 4 flights of stairs to get to the beach but, we discovered another access down the road that’s easier. We will definitely be back.

My boyfriend and I had a lovely time at the Starfish manor. We really enjoyed the jacuzzi tub and double shower heads. The mattress was comfy, and the view was great. The only hiccup we had was the fact that there was no AC, something so didn’t think about until the abnormally hot weekend came about. We were able to turn off the pilot for the gas fireplace and use the provided fan which helped. Overall I would give our stay a 4/5 stars.

This hotel is fabulous and has rooms overlooking the ocean. We stayed on the 4th floor and the view of the ocean is beyond beautiful! The room was very comfortable, especially the bed. Amenities were good as well. This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and will definitely stay here again . Perfect for a couples holiday.

It’s a beautiful new hotel. We were very comfortable, and the beds were also quite comfy. We didn’t have an ocean view, but the beach was only two blocks away so the location is excellent. And there were tide pools too. I was traveling with my son so it wasn’t romantic. The shower had two shower heads opposite of each other, so next time I’ll go there with my husband instead. It was also very affordable. I’ll definitely stay there again.
