Oddly from the road you would never thought this place was a motel. Yes this place is a bit run down and if luxury is your criteria for judging your nightly stay this is not for you. However if your best friend has 4 legs you and your friend would be welcome. Furthermore for the view I got for the... More

Owner yelled angrily at a person staying there, threatened to kick him out and charge him double. I was extremely uncomfortable. He definitely should have handled it differently. I won't stay there again and I can't recommend it to anyone else, particularly when you take into account the run down condition of the motel.

Awesome views from this quirky little motel. The unit we stayed in had a princess bed in the living room which was also furnished with recliners and a comfy couch. An electric fireplace and large screen TV are there also. There was a great kitchen table looking out over the beach and a small but well furnished kitchen. One separate... More

Our family has been coming here every year for years! It is a tradition that I love and am so excited to share with my own children. It's a quirky place, but it is homey. Pick a unit & begin a new family tradition...you will be so glad you did!

I have enjoyed the Overlook for many years. I like it's homey feeling. The location allows easy accessability to the city and beach. A Motel where your options are open for staying in and having everything you need to enjoy yourself or being located near many going out choices. Prices are affordable and there are options for all sizes of... More

Hotels don't normally make any kind of impression on me but after staying here once I wanted to come back again and again! Each unit is unique and fits your needs. My wife and I stayed in a cute little one bedroom once and then again with our three kids in a huge 2 bedroom unit - it was perfect!... More

A wonderful traditional oceanside place. Perfect if you are not looking for a new motel with 50 units. Great view of the Ocean on you own little deck, and all the amenities you need for a couple of days or weeks on the Ocean. It's probably 100 feet down to the beach, but there are never many people. Units are... More

2 families, 2 babies, 2 dogs and a whole lotta sand. My husband and I met our super amazing friends here for a weekend. They were traveling cross country from NY and we met up in Oregon before they headed back. This location is absolutely amazing. Yes the rooms are dated, but they were clean, well stocked and the front... More

Built in the 1930's as a private residence and renovated over the years, The Overlook Motel is a throwback to an earlier era, one that is quickly vanishing (sadly) on the Oregon Coast as cold cookie-cutter corporate monstrosities take over the oceanfront properties. Perched on a bluff with some of the most spectacular views of the coast, generations of beach-goers... More

I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at this motel with my husband. We are frequent weekend visitors to Lincoln City but decided to try a new place. My one requirement for any place we stay on the Oregon Coast is a view (because we all know sometimes it's too stormy and gross to actually be on the beach, but... More
