The Park itself was shady. The hosts, Dale and Teri we as nice as could possibly be. The restrooms were clean. However, there were only 2 and with no sewer hookups that does not meet the parks needs. There are 4 showers. Although on the internet it stated there was laundry, there is not. You have to drive 30 miles... More

you may notice that the last time I reviewed this resort was a year ago and gave it 4 stars. This year 5. Here is why. Since our first visit we have stayed at several other lake lodges and none are as good as these. First they are clean. Second no rowdy types. Third the owners continue to make improvements... More

After a day of exploring Paulina Peak and the Obsidian Flow (which were spectacular) we had lunch at the resort cafe "The Blue Duck Grill" Surprisingly, they had a great menu selection and local beer choices. Patio seating is available with a view of the lake. Waitstaff were friendly and attentive. food was served quickly and was very tasty! My... More

If East Lake didn't already make you fall in love with awesome views, a mirror like lake with paddleboards, kayaks, canoes, pontoon boats.....oh and some fishing thrown in...then the staff would seal the deal for sure. The cabins are clean, well appointed and the beds and linens....awesome. After time on the lake, a great meal at the Blue Duck and... More

East lake resort is a great place to camp and fish. The lake is easy walking distance from the camp ground. The camp ground is a bit rustic but has both electricity and water in each site. The camp hosts are friendly and helpful there is one bathroom with a great shower. Each site has a fire pit for some... More

The location and entire area is spectacular. When my husband and I checked in to the Merganzer we were told we'd need to cuddle lots because that cabin is so small but recently remodeled. The size of the cabin was fine, cozy and functional. The bed on the other hand was abominable. It probably has been there since the 60's,... More

Stopped here recently as we were passing through the area. Lovely little lake resort, would love to come back and stay sometime. Small cafe there, and could rent a boat for the lake. Peaceful location near Newberry Volcanic Monument at the end of the road

20 of us (ALL ages!) headed up to East Lake Resort for a 2 night gathering. Everyone had a blast! The resort is in a beautiful spot, and is very easy to get around...we shared our time between the beach, the cute rustic cabins, the woods, the play field and the Blue Duck restaurant. There are boats to rent (we... More

Cabins are rustic but we'll taken care of. We stayed in Pintail which had kitchen, bathroom w/shower and bedroom which is mainroom. Bedroom had queen bed and a bunk bed. Kitchen is well supplied. Only challenge was getting to toilet as not much clearance with the sink. Place very clean as is the outside picnic table area. Garbage picked up... More

We stayed in the Rainbow cabin. The cabin and bathroom was clean and cozy. We stayed during Memorial Day weekend. The in wall electric heater worked very well to keep out the cold. The cabin was as stated on the website. One double bed, one single bed and a kitchenette. The cabin has a toilet in a separate room. The... More
