We only stayed one night and I thought the $200 dollar a night cabin was dated. I get the impression that you really enjoy fishing this may be the spot. I unfortunately do not enjoy fishing. There was no Wi-Fi, no cell coverage, no T.V which I can be ok with but not for the price. The store had limited... More

I stayed in the Pintail cabin. It had good amenities and plenty of room, but the highlight of the trip was the fishing. My three best fish were a 19" brown trout, an 18" rainbow trout, and a 15" brown trout. The smaller brown trout was caught on a dry fly, the bigger rainbow and brown were both caught freelining.

Nice relief from some extreme heat. Kayak rental was great and the workers were friendly and helpful. Lovely, lovely lake and so relaxing. Cool breeze. We had lunch at the cafe, where the poor waitress tried, but was overworked--both having to serve and cut lettuce for our salads! They could use a bit more help. (didn't go to the hotel--just a... More

The lake is great. We rented a pontoon boat for the day and almost every chair was broken. The captions chair was a flimsy plastic yard chair. But the rental was easy the guides were great at suggesting places to fish and chill. The access to the boat ramp was a far walk and hard for a stroller or wheelchair... More

The Park itself was shady. The hosts, Dale and Teri we as nice as could possibly be. The restrooms were clean. However, there were only 2 and with no sewer hookups that does not meet the parks needs. There are 4 showers. Although on the internet it stated there was laundry, there is not. You have to drive 30 miles... More

you may notice that the last time I reviewed this resort was a year ago and gave it 4 stars. This year 5. Here is why. Since our first visit we have stayed at several other lake lodges and none are as good as these. First they are clean. Second no rowdy types. Third the owners continue to make improvements... More

After a day of exploring Paulina Peak and the Obsidian Flow (which were spectacular) we had lunch at the resort cafe "The Blue Duck Grill" Surprisingly, they had a great menu selection and local beer choices. Patio seating is available with a view of the lake. Waitstaff were friendly and attentive. food was served quickly and was very tasty! My... More

If East Lake didn't already make you fall in love with awesome views, a mirror like lake with paddleboards, kayaks, canoes, pontoon boats.....oh and some fishing thrown in...then the staff would seal the deal for sure. The cabins are clean, well appointed and the beds and linens....awesome. After time on the lake, a great meal at the Blue Duck and... More

East lake resort is a great place to camp and fish. The lake is easy walking distance from the camp ground. The camp ground is a bit rustic but has both electricity and water in each site. The camp hosts are friendly and helpful there is one bathroom with a great shower. Each site has a fire pit for some... More

The location and entire area is spectacular. When my husband and I checked in to the Merganzer we were told we'd need to cuddle lots because that cabin is so small but recently remodeled. The size of the cabin was fine, cozy and functional. The bed on the other hand was abominable. It probably has been there since the 60's,... More
