Campsites are all laid out along a main road, lots of traffic, sites are semi private, the absolute worst pit toilets I've seen in my life, filthy and only a skimpy hook to close the door, terrible smell and dirty. Better off staying in your car.

We arrived on a Sunday in July and left on a Friday so we didn't get to see the busyness of the weekend here. Photos do not do justice here - the lake is a wide expanse but it truly is surrounded by forest and feels lush. It was 10 degrees cooler than @ LaPine/Bend. We hiked the many trails,... More

We stayed here for three nights, mid-week just before Labor Day weekend. We were told that the campground gets very full and busy on weekends and holidays but when we were there, the campground was only about a third full and the lake was empty. There is a 15m/hr speed limit on the lake which is perfect if you are... More
