We stayed the weekend, it was are first time in Klamath. We were there to see Crater Lake and to explore. All the amenities were closed due to COVID19 which was not the problem. I had a hard time getting past the cigarette to burn on the comforter on the bed, the dirty walls, toilet, remote, and bathtub. The whole place was very dark and made me feel uncomfortable for my well-being.
The staff was great. Even though the breakfast was limited by covid, we got a nice meal every morning and pleasant company of the staff. This is an older property, but very clean, comfortable, and a great value for the money. We stayed two weeks visiting family and are looking forward to coming back again.
I'd not stayed there before, but it was the only place in Klamath Falls that allowed me to bring my cat (extra $20 for one night). The other more convenient and perhaps nicer hotels/motels only allowed dogs. Check in was time-consuming, because I was first given a room which I found was not made up yet. Ditto for the second assigned room. Third time was a charm, but this experience took about 1/2 hour. This is certainly not a first class place, but the room had everything necessary, and was very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable, with excellent mattress, linens and pillows. The t.v. was quality, easy to navigate and large. There is no working telephone in the room (use your cell phone to call front desk). Plenty of towels, and microwave, frig. Furniture looked new, as did carpet. I wasn't informed personally of the breakfast availability or location. In the morning I called the front desk for those details, and talked to Marsha who was on duty then. She was very informative and a "ball-of-fire". I eat little for breakfast, but picked up yogurt, mini-muffins, orange juice and coffee. Lots of other choices there. At night the sound of the traffic was quite loud as motel is located at a busy intersection. (Where I live is totally silent at night, so it kept me awake.)…
Check in was smooth and the room was clean and comfortable. A lot of flying insects about that we thought were mosquitoes but weren't - no idea what they were. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with hot food, cereals etc. Stayed two nights. Plenty of places to eat nearby.
The king room had no room for two suitcases, had to place one on the floor. Very very cramped room. Shower looked disgusting. Only reason I didn't rate it one star is because the ladies in the office were friendly and worked hard. Other than that, I was appalled Choice Hotels would even claim this property. Needs to be burned.
