Mary and Bill Pohll run Thompson's B&B and they really look after you well. If you are interested in birdwatching, for which the Klamath Basin is famous, then this is where you want to stay. This isnt just any hotel--it is perfectly situated for birding. I stayed here in March 2010 for a trip to the Klamath Basin to see... More

Staying with Bill & Mary is like staying with your favorite aunt and uncle - with the added benefit of privacy when you want it and free wifi. The B&B accommodations are on the ground floor, with a separate entrance; each comfortable bedroom has a private bath, and there's a lobby area with coffee and tea supplies for get-togethers and... This was the best B&B ever. The people that run it are wonderful and very gracious hosts. The house is beautiful and the rooms are roomy and plush. The breakfast was outstanding. They really go out of there way to make you feel at home. The scenery is breathtaking from every room of the B&B. If you are looking to... More

Doing research for my guidebook, "Oregon Townscape Walks", I spend three nights with the Thompsons. Since I was traveling solo and walking the OC&E Woods Line rails to trails, it was nice to have people to talk to. I really enjoyed their home and found it clean and comfy. My room had a spectacular view of the lake, there was... More

I stayed in the View room and loved the room and View. The owners were very nice and went out of their way to help us with our visit to the area. I would recommend this B&B to anyone. I will stay there again.

We went for the birding and found ourselves spoiled. Our experience was nothing like the person who wrote the bad review. Mary and Bill were thoughtful and considerate of our dietary needs. Helpful regarding where to find birds. The view and the room were wonderful. As for amenities coffee, tea, popcorn, water and soda were all available as well as... More

This was our second stay at Thompsons and we enjoyed it as much as the first time, maybe more. The hosts were friendly, helpful, giving us excellent advice for places to bird and places for our anniversary dinner. Our room was large with an adjoining private bath with amenities but we did have to ask if there was a hair... More

This accommodation is nothing more than a room/small bath in the basement of owner's home. The space is cluttered with cutesy junk and very little space for luggage. Room needed dusting and a thorough cleaning. The ambiance is scary. The bedding is tired and garish. The towels are thin and have a funky stale smell. Not one amenity for guests... More

in 28 years, we have never received such a horrible review. 99 % of our guests list us as one of the best B and B's they have ever stayed. I am sorry these people felt the way they did. I will own up to sometimes it gets dusty with windows opened all day long but that is it. More

Thompson's is a large home with a great view of Upper Klamath Lake, within walking distance of Moore Park and the Klamath Belle paddle wheel boat dock. There are 3 separate and well furnished country style bedrooms with private baths and a separate entrance downstairs, and delicious breakfasts every morning upstairs...we will definitely be back!
