Any review of this bed-and-breakfast must begin with a description of Elizabeth, the proprietor: Warm. Gracious. Accommodating. Caring. Engaging. Heck, pick all five. She was "made" for this business. We have the opportunity to travel frequently, and this was the best B and B in which we've ever stayed. Everything about the accommodations exceeded our expectations. We concur with all... More

We stayed at The Catbird Seat for 6 nights, and enjoyed the hostess' grace and hospitality every day. We even saw deer in the evenings browsing on the grounds. Breakfasts are everything you could wish, and more. Elizabeth shares her Southern heritage and hospitality in her furnishings and cooking. Highly recommended!

My husband and I spent one night at the Catbird Seat on our way north to Washington from Ashland, Oregon. It is easily the most beautiful, delightful B&B where we've ever stayed! The charming, two-story home is tucked in a hillside on five acres in the gorgeous Willamette Valley wine country and an easy walk to Clear Lake. We were... More

Late post....this beautiful oasis can never be forgotten! My husband and I spent 3 tranquil days and 2 restful nights in this gorgeous home. Elizabeth was our most gracious host. She made us feel like we were home. The atmosphere of the Catbird Seat B&B was everything we needed that weekend. The decor looked like it was out of a... More

10 days of calm . We loved staying here . Wonderful coffee every morning. We agreed to have no breakfast, but did have breakfast on Sunday. Full southern breakfast with grits! Really charming decor and Elizabeth could not have been more hospitable.

Elizabeth is the sweetest person you will meet. From our initial request through final farewells, her hospitality and helpfulness throughout our stay was amazing. The property is a beautiful wooded sanctuary, full of life and style. Each nook and cranny of the public space had interesting new delights, but they never overwhelmed. The Catbird Suite itself was comfortable, spacious and... More

Thank you Elizabeth for our relaxing stay in the Catbird Suite. Your home is a reflection of your deep southern roots and charm. You are a gracious hostess. Every morning we enjoyed a delicious southern-style breakfast and a morning greeting from your cute furry friends. We felt welcomed and "at home" from Day 1. We look forward to our next... More

WOW what an amazing little B&B. Down home southern charm in the Pacific Northwest with an asian arts and craft flair. The biscuits and grits are not to be missed! The only disappointment was that we could only stay one night. Can't wait to come back.

My wife and I were visiting Eugene over the Christmas holidays and were told of this bed and breakfast by relatives as a quaint place to stay. We made reservations a couple of months ahead of time. Upon arrival our hostess, Elizabeth, greeted us at the door, provided a tour of the house and then settled us in our rooms.... More

Beautiful setting, gracious host, yummy breakfast. Perfect "catbird seat" for bird watching. Quiet, restful. Elizabeth, the host, was full of transplanted Southern hospitality. House is full of tasteful and intriguing artifacts with stories to match.
