We stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin (Sumac) and were happily surprised by all of the amenities. Fully stocked kitchen, daily maid service, firewood stocked for the cabin, and free wifi are just some of them. The lodge itself is cozy and inviting. We played board games every day and loved watching the deer throughout the day. Staff are very... More

Came here for a long weekend with my wife. Had been here once before as a kid and in 20+ years, nothing has really changed. This place is a true gem. It is also a rustic lodge, so keep that in mind. Breakfast is cheap and delicious (a $4 pancake is the size of a small child) and the front... More

Our clean third floor room (no elevators) was adequately furnished and had a small adjoining bath. The staff was cooperative and helpful. Breakfast in the Lodge dining room was tasty. Internet was free. Our room was A-ok. However, it is the experience of staying in the Lodge that earns my 5 star rating. As a returning guest, I knew I... More

This is exactly what it is named: a Lodge. By no means fancy but it provides everything you need, epic views, fantastic staff, very good food, and does not provide those things you should not have on a vacation, namely, TV, radio or clocks. Spectacular hiking and water access is right there. If upgraded hotel or resort style accommodations are... More

Lodging is in the style of the old national park lodges-rustic, cozy. Lobby area with fireplace and lots of seating is a very comfortable place to sit and talk or read. Fixtures (sink & bathroom) are very old, but place has been well maintained. Interesting to look through binder with news articles about the lodge history and recent change in... More

I was in room 209, trying to be victorian , with old furniture, lots of lacy curtains, outdated bathroom and awful bed, not even a table to write on. The price of the room was 170 dollars a night booked months in advance - the whole set up was ridiculous. I was there for a week and every time I... More

Thank you for taking the time to review the Wallowa Lake Lodge. This building was constructed in 1923 and the decor of the property reflects that time and age, right down to the hand made bedspreads and window coverings. It's not for everyone, especially for those who are more comfortable with modern furnishings and amenities. And thank you for noting... More

I recently stayed at Wallowa Lake Lodge. I wanted to introduce new friends from California to this beautiful area. The rooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floors. That was not a problem for us but may be for others as there is no elevator. The rooms are charming but simple. There is no TV and no phones and cell... More

The lodge has a fantastic lobby and lounge area that is fun for hanging out and playing games in, or reading a book by the fire. The lodge is on the opposite side of the lake from the town, so it's a short drive to Joseph. There is a little village around the lodge that is fun to walk around... More

Located in close proximity to Wallowa Lake this is a historical lodge that was originally constructed in 1923. A restaurant is located on the first floor and the food was better than average. The room my wife and I stayed in was of average size and was clean. There was no telephone, television or hairdryer in the room. Our room... More

Thank you for taking the time to provide your thoughts about Wallowa Lake Lodge. As an historic property, no telephone or television keeps with the spirit of when the building was constructed. The new owners (as of April 2016) are looking at ways of making the Lodge more hospitable and your comment about the restaurant kitchen exhaust fan has been... More

Wallowa Lake Lodge is an historic lodge along Wallowa Lake. It's about five miles outside the town of Joseph, but very close to the State Park and the Wallowa Lake Tramway. We spent several nights here and found the lodge to be a good place to stay. There are a couple of miniature golf courses & bumper boats, etc. nearby,... More

Thank you for your reviews of both the Wallowa Lake Lodge and the Camas Dining Room. It sounds like your family had a wonderful, active vacation at Wallowa Lake and the Lodge's lobby was a great place to relax and play some board games and cards in the evening. The Lodge was recently purchased by a group of mainly Eastern... More
