An absolute dream - I only wish we’d had more time to spend here, but we will make it a point to come back. The staff was so friendly. The room was immaculately clean and so beautiful prepared. The decor was simple but so well thought out and lovely:; in other words, perfect. Right down to the comfort of the bed/bedding and the quality of the sheets. We hadn’t originally planned on it but we ended up in their restaurant for cocktails and again for dinner. It was, again, perfect.

I’ve been coming here for a long time. And years ago, before the old owner sold this gem, I could count on the Inn to welcome my out of town visitors. Under the previous management, service was excellent, food very good, and atmosphere charming. Fast forward to May/June 2022. Under new management the restaurant promised and updated menu and superior dining experience. Instead… a menu with less options than ever ( only ONE item could make do as a vegan option..), higher prices ($3.00 for mediocre bread and 38 for mediocre salmon ), and service as slow as molasses. As always, I’m expecting summertime visitors, but this time we’ll pass on the Restaurant here. It’s a shame to see this place only keeping up with price increases, and not reflecting the trends of the times.

We have stopped at the Jacksonville Inn several times on our drive from San Francisco to Vancouver BC. We love eveything about this place. All members of the staff are accommating and helpful with local suggestions. The restaurant on the lower floor has a wide selection of food choices and wines, We celebrated a wedding anniversary on one of our stays. Great. You can make a reservation for dinner on the same website you use to make a hotel reservation. Breakfast is include in the room rate and you have access to several menu choices. The guest rooms are a little small but quite comfortable. They have a room that is pet friendly and our Dalmatian loves the room. On one of our return trips we were upgraded to a cottage room. It was very comforatable. Jacksonville is a great little town. My wife loves the shopping. She also always seems to find a pair of shoes on every stay. Also stop by for a wine tasting at South Stage Cellars Winery. Indoor tasting as well as a shaded garden area which is pet friendly.

I have been a customer of this inn for years and over those years I have written a few reviews ; some good and one less than ... Anyway , I just booked a weekend at the Inn and we asked for room #1 because on the website that room had Jacuzzi tub and a Victorian motif . Well when we arrived , SURPRISE , the Inn is under new ownership and everything that made this Inn special has changed. Do not get me wrong as the new owners and staff are great and very friendly ,however ; the website upon our booking still showed the rooms as they existed before and not now. This Inn was famous for their wine selection and prices and an amazing expansive menu ; that too is gone . When we went down to the restaurant for our first dinner and I asked our server for the wine list , she turned over the paper menu and then apologized . Menus at the Inn combined with their superb collection of wines was simply a delight in Dining . To her credit , our server was willing to search the prior wine inventory but alas the spartan selection was our only choice . Also the menu is now an essentially an a la carte selection and your sides are an additional "add on" cost , and , that really distracts from the expected dinning experience . The food was good and actually the steak was great but the feel of the Inn is gone . I know the owners are new , but the changes are not better . The Inn was unique . The Inn was a destination dining experience that was worth a two hour drive and a weekend get a way . For the new owners, learn from the history and what made the Inn unique and take advantage of that as even your staff apologized for the unpleasant surprises and the abrupt changes . The rooms changed from true Victorian to art deco -western . Yes the hammered copper claw foot tubs are beautiful but not the cattle pictures above the bed . Also tell your guests that copper tubs have to heated with hot water as they cold and as you add water they absorb the heat thus if you fill them with normal temp water they will be cold before you can enjoy your bath . Anyway , I have high hopes that the Inn will endure for generations . Michael

Mothers Day Saturday night. Congratulations to the manager, the service by your kitchen and staff was stellar. Always ask for Joel as your waiter. Simply the best I’ve even experienced with a rich history. Thank you JI. Can’t wait to return.

The best place to stay if you want to take in all of the Jacksonville experience. We were treated amazing and the accommodations were beautiful. This is a classic 1860's place with a classy touch. The restaurant is the best in town for sure.

Every other year we make a driving vacation to the Northwest. Our first stop on the trip and our last stop coming home includes dinner at the Jacksonville Inn. We love the food, the wine choices, the ambiance and customer service. They also have a spectacular choice of fine wine in their wine shop.

Jacksonville Inn is a perfect place to spend a few nights, right on the main street through historic downtown. This part of town is one block, at most, but lining it are intriguing restaurants, wine ships, antique shops, and more. Our room reminded us so much of those we love staying at in old hotels in Europe. While the room was relatively small, every inch of space was well thought out and in pristine condition. Quite simply, it felt real! Highly recommended.

My wife and I happened upon this fantastic place through Hotel tonight. We didn’t look any further after we go to the hotel to see what the area looks like. The next morning we were pleasantly surprised to see how the quaint area is. Lovely shops and great coffee nearby. Had breakfast there - good ol’ fashioned bacon and eggs but made just right. Looking forward to making this a stop on trips again!
