Beautifully decorated room with great views close by. Location was close to everything we wanted to see and enjoy. Easily checked into our room and checking out was just as simple. The porch was gorgeously decorated with pumpkins upon arrival.

This inn caught my eye with a pix of the wraparound porch. But it won my heart with staff friendliness and the three course breakfast! Breakfast burrito, yogurt topped with just enough granola and three kinds of fruit, side light lettuce salad and all sorts of barista-made coffee. Husband is a tough breakfast sell but they picked up a cinnamon roll just for him. And decaf coffee. I mean even I don’t cater to him that much. But thank you . It was just what we needed after all too many packaged hotel breakfasts. Covid-aware, staffers were masked and cleaning relentlessly while smiling in their eyes. The beds was relaxing and a good choice of pillows. We stay cross country in bnb’s and hotels. We will make it a point to come back.

My daughter and I stayed one night at the Inn. It was a quick get-away to Hood River from her college campus. Michael, who runs the Inn, is so fabulous. We made a last minute change to include one of my daughter’s friends and it was no problem. Michael had a roll away bed waiting in our room. We also had dietary restrictions in our group and he made a special breakfast to accommodate. There were cookies waiting when we arrived at the Inn, and Michael helped with ideas for things to do in the area while we were there. Such a wonderful place. The beds were comfortable, and the disconnected bathroom for the Gorge room wasn’t a problem. Highly recommend the Inn.

Spent a beautiful fall day at the Inn which is just a few blocks from the Hood River town center. We stayed in the Terrance suite which had a private courtyard and was very nicely furnished and comfortable. There are plenty of amenities offered including breakfast, beverages and e-bikes. A wrap around covered porch is inviting evenings and adds to the classic ambiance of the property. Restaurants and shopping are within walking distance; just be ready for a bit of hill climbing!

We have had 20 years of successful Bed and Breakfast stays in cities and rural settings with Trip Advisor recommendations. This time Trip Advisor was a miss. Inn at the Gorge was a disappointment . It is on the corner of a busy thoroughfare and is not a quiet setting at all. With windows open in the older house, traffic kept us awake. The front porch sitting area is also noisy. The room wasn’t very clean when we arrived so Eric did “resurface it” and gave us 15% off with apologies. Apparently there were staffing issues. We would not recommend Inn at the Gorge if you want a peaceful getaway.

Thank you for staying at the Inn and for this feedback. We strive to make all guests feel at home during their stay and are sorry that your expectations were not met during your time at the Inn. We are glad to learn that our team was able to work towards correcting the issue with the additional cleaning and discount on your stay. While we have many guests who use their time at the Inn as a relaxing escape and retreat, it is true we are in a neighborhood, and understand if the daily residential street traffic was not your preferred ambiance. We take guest feedback to heart and have reviewed your notes with our team to help ensure our housekeeping and hospitality standards are met or exceeded. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience.

We recently stayed in the Terrace Room for 2 nights. It had a comfortable king bed and large shower in the private bath as well as a small private patio area with a small table and chairs. Overall the room was nice, and the breakfasts were very good. But based on other B&B experiences this one did not seem to be a good value. Price was very high for the accommodations. We were also surprised to see a request for a tip on the overall bill. We have never seen this at other B&Bs. There was a lot of communication by text prior to check-in, which is fine. But much of it also focused on additional services for an additional cost. This, along with the tip request left a bad taste for us. It is walking distance to some good restaurants but it would be a rather long walk into the city center of Hood River.

If you decide to stay here, don’t book the “gorge” room. It is the only room that doesn’t have a bathroom in it. You have a private bathroom down the hall, which should be fine. In our case, the sink stopped draining and they didn’t have time to fix it. We probably should have just used it and left a mess, but instead we just left early. The room was comfortable, but the Inn sits on a very busy corner and you hear loud car noise very early in the morning.

We're sorry you were not satisfied with your stay or our team's efforts to make accommodations for you. Unfortunately, the sink required a professional to clear an in-wall clog, which took additional time and expense. We take pride in caring for the historic Inn to provide a comfortable experience for our guests, but unexpected issues beyond our control do arise from time to time.

The Saturday price for this B&B is way out of line. The staff was great and willing to make our stay enjoyable. The breakfast were uniquely delicious. However, the facility need some upgrading. Door locks didn’t work well. Was clean enough but could use some extra cleaning. Had to destroy big cobwebs at doorway out to hot tub. Based on previous B&B stays this one is overpriced for the quality. The bed was great and loved sitting on the porch.

Fantastic Inn with great staff, excellent service, yummy breakfest, quite location yet close to all amenities and tourists sites. Helpful staff always willing to provide anything to make your stay enjoyable. Which we did and will book again with them. We highly recommend to others who enjoy a home feel away from home.

My wife and I stayed at the Inn and we enjoyed every minute of our time there. The staff were friendly and helpful. You may share some of the common spaces with the other guest but we always felt we had out own space if we desired. The breakfast each morning was often a highlight of the day and we will definitely be recommending it to our friends and family as an option when they are in Hood River.
