Just what we were looking for...a local, "one of" hotel with friendly staff who we got to know over the 4 day visit. There were 9 of us traveling and we really enjoyed the bar and relaxing on the lobby and porch. Rooms were clean...More
Loved the location of the hotel. Rooms are adequate but we managed to get the smallest room in the hotel that was tiny, but adequate for a one night stay. Restaurant had awesome meals. The staff on the reception desk were not at all customer...More

Hello Sydney. Yes, we are in the perfect location in downtown Hood River. Steps away from local brew houses, wine tasting rooms and small boutique shops. In September, we hired new personnel and several our Front Desk Staff members were in training. Unlike large corporations...More
I had really high hopes for this one judging by the cool bar and look to the historic hotel. Our room was tiny and outdated. The "courtyard" view was a rooftop covered with wooden decking. Everything creaked. Towels were rough. No A/C. Thankfully, there was...More
I was on a mini road trip with my husband, our Portland based daughter and her dog. My daughter booked this hotel because we wanted to be within walking distance of all the attractions in Hood River and because it was pet friendly. Charmaine was...More
Old hotel that is not as quaint as you would expect. Rooms are small and over priced. The front desk people were rude. Talking to a friend instead of attending to guests. The best part by far was the breakfast! Great coffee and scones!

We were there on a Sunday night and didn't need to pay for parking at night. However, we paid the $3 for a permit to put in our window to cover the next morning after 8 am. You can't park on the main street but it was easy finding a place on the street up from the hotel--a very short walk. We loved the restaurant in the hotel and that's where we had dinner. The owner was really nice and it made for an easy place to go after a long day of driving. We later walked up and down the street and there were other nice looking and packed restaurants. Breakfast at the hotel was perfect.
