This place is just in the heart of the town, where you can walk everywhere.

We got the "small" room--it was tiny. But it was alright, because we only paid $100 for the night. The breakfast downstairs, which was included, had homemade granola, baked goods, and decent coffee.
It would be nice if they replaced the carpets and beddings to...More
We were looking for a hotel in Hood River that we could park our car and walk everywhere. The Hood River Hotel is with walking distance to everything we wanted to walk to. We enjoyed the historic feel. It is definitely not your chain hotel...More
Historic place. Clean. Great staff. Wonderful breakfast. Worth a little more money vs the chain hotels. Right in the heart of town. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. On street parking so may need to drop off luggage and then find a spot. We were...More
This is a nice old hotel with a lot of character. The lobby is charming as is the outdoor sitting/eating area. It's a bit like stepping back in time - in a very good way. On opening the door to our room the first time,...More

We were there on a Sunday night and didn't need to pay for parking at night. However, we paid the $3 for a permit to put in our window to cover the next morning after 8 am. You can't park on the main street but it was easy finding a place on the street up from the hotel--a very short walk. We loved the restaurant in the hotel and that's where we had dinner. The owner was really nice and it made for an easy place to go after a long day of driving. We later walked up and down the street and there were other nice looking and packed restaurants. Breakfast at the hotel was perfect.
