What a wonderful surprise! We came for an event at Naked Winery, and we couldn't beat the location! So many spots so close to explore. The hotel had a history going back to the first hotel in a Hood River. Even room was full of...More
The location is superb and the antique furnishings are charming. The room itself was quite small and the bed uncomfortable, but overall it was clean and cute. Note that the elevator is itself an antique and fun experience to ride! Just be careful the doors...More
From the moment you get here it's just coziness--the lobby is a great place to hang out, Broder next door serves great food and drinks in an equally cozy atmosphere, and the rooms are clearly renovated but with enough of the original charm left over...More
I typically don't leave reviews, but anyone booking this hotel should be aware that it is extremely noisy. My wife and I were looking to get away from the city for a few days. Instead of a relaxing stay, we were stuck listening to blaring...More
We stayed Christmas Eve before skiing at Mount Hood Meadows. This hotel is SO unique, still looks and feels like 1900 luxury. We booked the economy room--very affordable for an "interior queen." The rooms are older--our shower and bathroom was a renovated coat closet--but personally...More

We were there on a Sunday night and didn't need to pay for parking at night. However, we paid the $3 for a permit to put in our window to cover the next morning after 8 am. You can't park on the main street but it was easy finding a place on the street up from the hotel--a very short walk. We loved the restaurant in the hotel and that's where we had dinner. The owner was really nice and it made for an easy place to go after a long day of driving. We later walked up and down the street and there were other nice looking and packed restaurants. Breakfast at the hotel was perfect.
