I was unable to adequately regulate the water temperature in the shower. Electrical outlets in the room also need updating. Nothing fancy but it is a nice old hotel. The front desk staff were pleasant, as was the lobby. Convenient downtown location.

We stayed in the Hood River Hotel for one night to accommodate a few trails we wanted to checkout in the area. The hotel seemed to be full of outdoor enthusiasts and we couldn't pass up the Sunday inexpensive deal on a room. We booked the hotel last minute and the only room available was a courtyard queen. A few... More

We stayed two nights in this historic hotel. Great location downtown, near the railroad tracks and pressed between the freeway and Oak, the main street in Hood River. The hotel wears it's age well. Our second floor room had a decent view over the freeway to the river and White Salmon Washigton on the cliffs beyond. We miss the continental... More

Small, but clean room right in the heart of downtown. You can walk to restaurants, bars, shopping and down to the beach of Hood River to watch the paddle boarders, sailboats, kite flyers, and people and families enjoying the beauty of the Hood River. There is a restaurant and bar connected to the hotel that served Norwegian food and drink... More

Small, tastefully decorated, comfortable room. The lobby area is large and contains interesting historical photos and artifacts. The adjoining bar/restaurant was a bit loud during happy hour (as it should be) but was quiet by 10 o'clock. The staff was helpful and friendly. The elevator is old and a bit of an adventure. The location is in the heart of Hood... More

I stayed for 1 night after hiking on Mt. Hood. It's a great location right downtown. I had a queen riverview room on the first floor. The room was large and the bed was comfortable. The lobby is large, with comfortable places to sit, and there is a restaurant/bar (separate ownership) off the lobby that serves a great Danish breakfast.... More

Old and charming. It is with in walking distance of a lot of attractions. Make sure you get a room with a large bathroom and a view of the river. Some rooms are really small. Well worth a visit. You can eat in the hotel but I recommend Bette's place for breakfast. Great choices around town for lunch and dinner.

The place has a great, large lounge area in the lobby! I was glad that they offered a free-parking tag to place on your car so you can park free. Friendly staff, etc.... but our room was very, very small. I know it's an old building, but maybe renovations should have included enlarging some of the rooms. Our queen-sized-bed room... More

I was generally pleased with the hotel. The downtown location was fabulous- walking distance to shopping and restaurants and breweries! The hotel is very old though. The carpet seemed dirty to me. The queen size bed was comfortable and had nice bedding. There are portable air conditioning units in the room which make for a nice sound machine from the... More

Don't expect anything modern about this hotel, however it's full of charme, very well located in Hood River (a few excellent restaurant at walk distance) and with a very friendly staff at a right price.
