Having had the pleasure of staying here a couple of years ago, I booked this for my family when we hit the Polar Express train ride. The employees, particularly James and Dawn, were extremely accommodating and provided amazing customer service. You remember what that's like, right? The hotel is old, quaint and like going back in time. The restaurant on...

My wife and I stayed just one night. We loved the town of Hood River! The Columbia River is very impressive and Hood River is beautiful with lots of excellent dining and brewery options. It kind of reminded me of old Park City... minus the huge river of course. The hotel is quite old but well kept. Rooms are quite...

If you would like to experience what hotels were like yesterday, this is the place. The wood floors may creak, the elevator is slow, you may hear sounds through the wall. But overall I would come back. There is the downtown, restaurants, an old city feel. Comfortable and safe. Would I chose this over the glitzy hotel, Motel, yes.

Very friendly people in a vintage property. Not fancy, but comfortable and nostalgic (operate the elevator with sliding interior grid door). Interesting Danish motif restaurant attached, though independently operated.

This was a quirky, fun hotel but definitely is creaky and a little loud. We enjoyed staying here given the great location, which you can walk to everything you'd want to do in the area. I would recommend staying here.

Stayed one night with group of six on visit to Hood River. I had stayed at the hotel once before several years ago. It is a historic western hotel located right on Main Street within quick walking distance of everything in town. Rooms are traditional and a bit dated. Hotel is located close to I-84 and active train tracks so...

Arrived to a hotel with no parking, worn carpet, and so much noise in the river view room you can't sleep. Train cars go by constantly and regular street noise is not muffled. You can hear every conversation in the hall and the room next door. So glad this was a one night stop. If I was in this area...

We arrived at this well preserved historical hotel much later than planned. Since this isn't high season many good places to eat were closed/closing. Our very helpful desk man called several places until he found an open place ( that turned out to be surprisingly delightful) . Our room was very unique. Old skylight in bathroom, comfortable beds, interesting old...

A nice hotel, old, but well restored, but still showing its age a little. Wonderful staff, well organized and helpful. Great with restaurant suggestions. A fair sized lobby with a computer and a nice little front veranda/porch great for people watching. Reasonable cost. The top floor is centrally air conditioned, although I had to keep the ceiling fan on to...
