Detailed Reviews
We stayed 1 night as we were passing through (room 204) the area. I found out the brothers (Rory and Ryan) own this inn plus the Best Western in town.
Pros:
Lady at the front counter was very helpful and nice
Huge clean room
Comfortable king size bed and pillows
Carpet was clean (I wasn't afraid to walk on it with bare feet)
Bathroom was clean and the water pressure was awesome
Sparkling clean pool/jacuzzi unbelievably clean (absolutely loved it! I come from Southern California and pools are a pretty big deal.)
Room was really quiet despite being on main street (didn't hear any traffic noise)
Free breakfast
Cons:
The plants in the swimming area were fake. I found that to be weird because you can see that the hotel is being cared for so why not have real plants? Associates will definitely take care of them.
I would recommend Rory and Ryan Inn before trying any other hotel in the area even the Best Western.

This place was just average, with upgrading needed, as it is an older hotel. The easy chair in our room was badly stained on the seat and unsightly. The lady at the front desk was friendly. As for cleanliness, I would give it a C. The tub had an ugly brown non-slip type coating painted on the bottom. We are in our 70's, and had to drag all our luggage upstairs, as there isn't an elevator. Tv screen was small with few channel options. The walls are quite thin, and even though I have poor hearing, I could hear the guests in the next room.

Hines was the perfect “landing spot” for us while we spent 3 days exploring the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge, Steens Mountains and the Alvord Desert. The Rory and Ryan Inn was quiet and clean and a brown bag breakfast was available available very morning. This was all at a reasonable price! If you’re looking to explore the southeastern corner of Oregon, this is a great place for families, couples and solo travelers to stay.

Stayed for 1 night, would never come back, The bed was terrible, the toilet knob broke, the room smeller like an old closet. The hair dryer wasn’t working and could not be replaced. None from the staff wore face masks. When leaving in the morning the lady at front desk was grumpy, did not respond to our morning greeting, did mot wear a mask, did not even say goodbye.

I was told that I could cancel the room if it was out of my control like an airplane that could not get into the airport.
That is why I booked there. When we landed at another city out of our control I called to cancel, they said they would pass it on to the manager.
I received no phone call or communication, noticed the charge on my card.
I called and talked to the manager/owner Kelly Cullen she was very defensive and told me she did not believe me.
I will not plan to stay here in the future. I would not expect to be called a liar. How do I politely say horrible customer service.
I can’t speak to the hotel as I never saw it, just the character of Kelly.

Room was nice and pretty quiet except for the bathroom fan was a little noisy and could have a better selection on the tv channels. Did have a decent breakfast selection not the greatest but decent for a free meal. The staff was nice and helpful all in all would stay there again

Standard mid-priced motel in an out of the way town. Most importantly it was clean and the bed was comfortable. Room temperature was easy to control which is always nice. Did not use the pool area. Would stay here again.

We spent one night here recently. A big factor for us was the pool. It's large, a little on the cool side, indoors. It's starting to show some wear but was super clean and very refreshing. Our room was spacious and quite comfortable. WiFi worked fine. Recommend.

This is a very clean, quiet and specious hotel with a friendly, helpful staff and comfortable beds. You can't beat the price. Located on main street but our room was quiet. The best hotel we stayed in during our trip from St. George UT to Bend OR and back.
