This is a lovely, cozy hotel with good amenities (swimming pool, hot tub) conveniently located, easy access to the highways and restaurants that are actually within walking distance. We were busy during the day, so we needed a quiet and clean room to sleep at a reasonable price, and the Ponderosa perfectly met our needs. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The continental breakfast was all good. So, overall the experience was a comfortable stay and positive experience. Except the following.. One morning I walked into the breakfast area to make some waffles. Soothing music was playing on TV accompanied by beautiful natural images. In a minute or two, it was suddenly replaced with horror movie images with annoying music in the background. No idea what the reason was, but it was an odd experience and I felt it was intentional. My guess is that one of the front desk staff was a jerk and/or trying to be a jerk or griefer. Musicians are cool folks in general, but some may not. Other than that everybody else was very nice and highly recommended this hotel to anyone.…

Widely recommended in our 7-day stay, since the attention of the staff was excellent and the facilities were very good, we will certainly return. The hotel is very well located for one who is going to rest and meet is perfect.

This place looks run down from the outside and to tell the truth, it is. That being said the inside of the room was very clean and everything worked like it was supposed to. We were going to be busy during the day and we just needed a quiet/clean space to sleep at an affordable price and the Ponderosa was exactly that. Clean, quiet, no frills, and affordable. I would stay here again.

Very friendly & accommodating staff, nice clean room & grounds, bed was a bit hard, but in great condition overall. Pillows were perfect! As a lone traveler, I felt safe; there is only one entrance through lobby with 24/7 hotel staff at front desk.

It was listed as a new hotel. It may have a new name, however, it was probably built in the 60s. It was clean, however, the 2nd day we returned to the room and discovered the room had not been made up. They did replace the towels, no wash cloths. The remote for the tv did not work, I had to find the power switch to turn the tv on. If I had an opportunity to return to this property I would not. I would not recommend it to anyone. The front desk ladies were pleasant.

I love this place. Clean, Staff is SUPER ACCOMIDATING. I have health issues that require special accommodations. They are always willing to make sure my stay is comfortable as possible. From the cleaning staff to the front desk. It is across the parking lot to Heidi's an amazing family restaurant and Dragon Palace Chinese / Sushi. A wonderful place. Its easy to Portland. The Met is three blocks away. It has it all. Safe, Clean and friendly!

Short notice booking. Staff was wonderful, room and facilities were very nice and clean. Had to extend stay and transfer room with little difficulties. Rooms were on 2nd floor but no elevator, was the only negative. 😒

We stayed at the Ponderso Inn for 5 days while visiting family in the Portland area. We were impressed, first of all that the front desk is staffed 24/7. How refreshing, as we arrived late. The staff members were all so pleasant and helpful. Our room was clean and quiet. The continental breakfast was good, with many easy choices. The waffles are fantastic! We will be visiting again and will DEFINITELY stay at the Ponderosa Inn.

They are all nice and friendly you will most definitely enjoy your stay in clean comfortably, they have Breakfast also I woke up an made blueberry waffles one morning then strawberry the next!! I will be back soon

We only stayed one night and it was nice enough. It could have been a little cleaner in the bathroom and the window sill, but the beds are very comfortable and the front desk folks we saw were very friendly and helpful. There's a coffee pot, microwave and fridge in the room which is always nice.
