Travelers' Choice
This Oregon legend was built in 1924 along the banks of the scenic Rogue River. It was a vacation retreat to many Hollywood personalities such as Clark Gable, Carol Lombard and Walt Disney. In 1993, Country House Inns purchased the Weasku Inn and began restoring it. In September of 1998, the restoration was complete, the five rooms in the Lodge having been updated, while the original character and splendor was maintained. In addition, eleven cabins were built on the property and an original A Frame cabin remodeled. Since its completion, "Travel and Leisure Magazine" named this historic landmark "one of the top 25 Lodges in the United States". Recently, in "1,000 Places to See Before You Die: A Traveler's Life List ", Patricia Shultz declared the Weasku Inn one of those "must see" places. We invite you to step back in time, restore yourself and create new beginnings at the wonderful Weasku Inn. Our accommodations include:5 Lodge Rooms, 11 River Front Cabins, 1 A-Frame Cabin, and a Three Bedroom River House All rooms are non-smokingSorry, no pets allowed Check-in 3pm / Check-out Noon 72 hour cancellation policy Children 12 and under stay free when occupying same room with an adult Complimentary wireless Internet throughout the property Meeting & Event Space for up to 40 people All accommodations include a full hot breakfast, a complimentary afternoon appetizer reception and evening milk & cookies

They were nice but seriously misrepresented. If you read to the end of the description they claim that the view is dependent on the foliage. Talked to a local who told us a dam came down in 2008 or so and changed the Weasku Inn from a river front inn to a sort of near the river inn. There was also serious road and occasional train noise. Breakfast, which they tout, was so so. At best. Didn't try the wine tasting, we were busy at the time. The good was that the cabins were very nicely done. The river access was marginal but we did do some fly fishing and some catching, rainbows and cutthroats. Small but fun, catch and release. Would I go back? Doubtful. If those cabins had been on the river, definitely, even with the road noise.

Room Tip: Cabins were very nice, gas fireplace, good deck. Not river front though, by any stretch.

The rooms were sold out, but we had breakfast there and walked to the river. Next time we'll try to book earlier, the photos of the rooms look amazing. It's a beautiful setting. It was a nice start to a day of hiking.

I thought the room was nice but the river access was very rocky no wear to sit out .the hotel itself there was a resturant 5 miles away there was no where at resort to get a drink of any kind I felt it was a little stuffy feeling and very exspensive for what they offered .

Website states lodge is “along the river”. Not true. 5 minute walk to the river where there is nowhere to sit or enter the river. We stayed in the River House where the only view of the river is in one’s imagination. There are other false implications on their website. Being next to the river is the reason we booked this place. My e-message to the lodge went unanswered. Also the desk staff was not helpful, was not friendly and just seemed to not care. Doing this review just so others can be forewarned. l

We specifically chose this place because it appeared to be overlooking the Rogue river. Actually it is next to a stream or ditch with water. You cannot see the river from any room. To get to the river you walk on a dirt path through the weeds for about 5 mins . There is no good river access I.e. no beach or swimming area or a place to sit. Don’t be fooled by the website or advertising. These are rustic cabins and rooms off of the highway with no good river access or river views. There are extra charges for the wine tasting.

We stayed in the king jacuzzi cabin. It was a comfortable, clean room. There are a couple of things I would do to update the room like take some of the extra furniture out and provide some kind of drapes or blinds for the windows at the very top that let in a lot of light, which isn’t great when you are trying to sleep in. The evening snacks were a great treat! We didn’t make it for the cookies or s’mores but the breakfast had a good selection, although I had to warm mine up in the microwave.

Stayed here 2 nights on our way North to Seattle and again 1 night on way back home to Calif. Stayed in the Lodge (room 3, which we loved with it's huge window seat). It was so cozy- plus the late afternoon "snacks" (enough for a light dinner); evening fresh baked cookies; and morning breakfast selections meant we could just relax there rather than going looking for places to eat. Weather was chilly, so the big fireplace in the Great Room made it a wonderful place to sit & talk or read. Staff was very friendly and accommodating also.

My husband and I just returned from 4 nights at the Weasku Inn. We stayed in a cabin (that was really nice). All of the cabins have private decks. We spent hours out there, enjoying the fresh air and view of mountains, trees, ducks. We could also see the river. We also enjoyed spending time in front of our fireplace when it got chilly. We never went out to eat, but enjoyed the breakfast buffet, afternoon hors d'oeuvres (plenty of food to be considered dinner) and finishing out the day with freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. All of the staff were friendly, but Jay really stood out, with his kindness, helpfulness, and treating everyone like they are special. Thank you so much!

We enjoyed the setting and ambiance of Weasku Inn so much we extended our stay. We started in the King Cabin, which afforded us a lovely balcony, cozy fireplace, loveseat, table and chairs and plenty of space to do some remote work. Huge fans of history and the charming original inn, we spent our last two days in the lodge in room #4, a longtime favorite of Clark Gable and other Hollywood folk from days gone by. The friendly staff (Brett, Deanna, Corinne (sp?) who cheerfully staffed daily breakfast, afternoon hors d’ouevres, wine tastings and evening cookies and milk only added to the appeal. Everyone from the grounds team and throughout the Weasku took care and went out of their way to make us welcome. Thank you for a great visit!

What a breath of fresh air! Literally! Found a special deal on Travelzoo and snapped it up, called and was able to stay that same night for 4 days. The deal included a bottle of wine waiting in our room, a king bed room on the Rogue River, and wine tasting at any of 14 wineries (self tour). What was especially nice was the late breakfast until 11, appetizers and drinks at 430, then amazing warm cookies and smores and milk or other beverages at 730. The room was very nice, rustic with open wood beams, a comfy bed, a nice gas fireplace, good sized bathroom with a keurig for coffee service and water, and a nice private patio on the river side where guests can smoke outdoors. The lodge has such great history, is nearly 100 years old! And it's just beautiful. It was the perfect quick getaway and I do plan to return. The staff were all very friendly and the facilities were clean. I travel a lot and I thought this was a wonderful experience. Great job Weasku Lodge!!! I will be back!!
