Went for lunch. Very safe restrictions, track and trace was great - the whole experience made us feel at ease with the current climate. Food was good - Tuna wraps - and service from Calum was great. He was making all the tables feel at ease.
This is a bit dated establishment. There are worn signs visible in amenities, however little there are, inside this gorgeous place. The staffs are awesome and gorgeous who handle , in my view, many complaints. Staffs are awesome.
You could pay a lot more for a romantic fireplace and balcony overlooking the Rogue River, but you couldn’t get a more comfortable bed, better coffee or comelier mallards. Take the path under the bridge to Taprock, an outstanding restaurant. We’ll come back again and again!
I’ve enjoyed staying at The Lodge at Riverside, Weasku Inn and now Riverside Inn. It’s located in the Rogue River so the views are fabulous. Great, friendly, helpful staff and upscale accommodations. There is ample parking, special breakfast arrangements that are covid friendly. I experienced clean and neat atmosphere.
The attraction was that this hotel is right on the Rogue River and although I was skeptical because it only had 2 stars we were very pleasantly surprised. We stayed on the third floor in a deluxe King room so we had a balcony that overlooked the river. There were two chairs and a small table on the balcony. The hotel itself is not fancy and could probably use some updating, but that is what also adds to it's charm. Our room was are great size. It had all the things that were most important to me. Shower/tub combo (not all do, so ask for it if you want a tub), mini fridge, microwave (upon request), coffee maker, hair dryer. Sink is outside the bathroom/shower area. There is an elevator for access. They have a heated pool which is open. A park is right across the street. You can walk under the bridge next to the hotel which takes you right across the street to the Taprock Northwest Grill. You can also walk to shopping downtown or do Whiskey and Moonshine tasting right next door. Riverside Inn does breakfast during Covid times uniquely, You are given a list of the items available (no hot items other than toast or bagel), you put in the quantity of each item you want and the time you want to pick it up (I believe it was 7 - 10am). At the time you selected you go to the lobby and pick up your tray. It was great! They offer hard boiled eggs, cereal, fruit, yogurt, bread items, etc, All the staff here are so friendly and nice. You can also get free freshly popped popcorn in the lobby between 6 - 9pm or buy some of the local wine or beer they have. I have to give a special shout out to Nancy who on the first morning helped me carry all our breakfast to the room and we chatted on the way up, I told her we were there for a service for my brothers passing. The next day I saw Nancy in the lobby when she heard me and came out and asked about the service. That touched me. So, thank you Nancy for the chats and the genuine concern. This hotel deserves more than 2 stars!…
