Stayed in a cottage the first weekend after Labor Day. Had good weather. Took several side trips which were worth it. The cottage desperately needed a good cleaning, especially floors, carpets and rugs. There were cheese snacks everywhere. The microwave and stove top were clean, the oven another story, but we had no plans to use it anyway. The outdoor... More

We stayed for 5 nights in an RV site with hot tub. Cons: 1) the park desperately needs some maintenace. The grass was dead (although it is end of summer and they may have water restrictions due to drought, not sure). There are many small things that should be maintained better. For example a couple sites had hookup boxes that... More

We discovered Turtle Rock Resort in November 2015, intending to stay one month. We stayed 7 months adjacent to Hunter Creek which is only two minutes from the mighty Pacific, and we were truly reluctant to leave. The natural beauty, the peace, the authentic wild nature of the park itself, is addictive. Such tranquility abounds in the Turtle Rock Resort... More

We stayed here 2 nights while we were visiting the area. The staff here were very helpful and extremely nice. Our RV spot was right next to the camp hosts, which at first felt like we were in grade school again having to sit by the teacher... But actually turned out to be a really nice thing. The camp hosts... More

Stayed here July and August. While staff was helpful and engaging throughout our stay, the facilities are lacking. The bathrooms are old and rarely had hot water, Internet was unusable unless near the office. Plan on using a hot spot as cell service is strong. The park very dusty. Great location for a few days, any longer will be a... More

We stayed at this so called "resort" and were treated terrible. They came into our camp when they thought we were all gone to the beach to maintain the hot tub (which was rude we had only been there a day) did it really need to be checked? Also, they called us the worse names because they said our camp... More

This was our second stay in one of the cottages. Our first time 3 yrs ago was in #39. This time we wanted to spread out in a king size bed and a cottage with lots of floor space, #36 called to us. We have 3 (yes, I know what you're thinking) large dogs and the space was perfect. Cottage... More

We stayed in cabin 25. If you have allergies do not stay here. It was filthy. They never cleaned the place after my parents stayed. The mini blinds were covered in dust. They never cleaned the carpet around the bed or bed frame. The shower wouldn't drain. I called the front desk and a woman named pam hung up on... More

Turtle Rock is very nice beach camping. This is our third visit. We enjoy the large Rv sites and friendly staff. Good basic beach camping in a safe environment. Some sites have semi-private spas. Our kids stayed in a nice cottage with a spa. We enjoy our visits to Gold Beach and Turtle Rock.

Our camping spot was right on Hunter Creek and walking distance to the beach. The staff there were very friendly and helpful. Even the folks that lived there full time were kind and considerate. Facilities were well maintained and the grounds were pretty.
