A hole in the screen door big enough for a raccoon to crawl through, the screen door fell from the track when opened. I scratched my leg on blackberry vines growing into the parking lot, overgrown unmaintained landscaping, the dead bolt on the door was not functioning, mold on the bathroom ceiling, no wifi, rusty table lamp, trash in parking lot, loose rotted board in sidewalk. NO VIEW as advertised and promised because bushes hadn't been trimmed in ???? We had planned on staying three nights, the young lady at the front desk was extremely nice, and said she would pass on our message to the manager. We had reservations for three night and spent one, when we asked for a refund she said she would handle it.

We arrived here on 7/10/2020 for a two night stay. The person that checked us in gave us the key and directions to the Nantucket. He said there was parking right in front. We found the Nantucket, but there were two cars parked there so we went back to the front office and he sent us back and had another employee meet us there to check the parking passes. This time I looked through the windows and told the other employee there were people inside. He was very surprised and called the front desk and they realized they sent us to the wrong lodge so we went back to the front desk a third time. Finally, we got the correct lodge, the Laguna....and just....gross. As soon as you walk in you're greeted with filthy dirty carpet that the tacking strip is showing through. The two chairs are grimy, you can literally feel the filth on them. You can't walk around barefoot nor sit on the furniture, we covered it in sheets. The dishes in the cupboards were dirty. The closet doors were falling off. The flooring in the kitchen was coming apart. The deck off the back door was coming apart at the corner leaving a very unsafe feeling. The chairs to the kitchen table felt like the legs would fall off at any moment. The curtains were falling off the rods. The plastic corner to one of the mattresses fell off while we were there. There would have been a beautiful view had the windows been clean. The second night I heard critters crawling in the walls, maybe rats. This place is nasty and we will never return! Such a disappointment.

We came here for a weekend trip. Don't let the pictures on their website fool you. This place is pretty run down. The rooms still use keys, doors are sketchy and hard to open, once inside we noticed a lightbulb was missing from the sink area, the rooms are NOT well lit at all, a knob missing from the dresser, carpet was coming up. The bed did not have a fitted sheet on it, just 2 flat sheets, a thin middle blanket and a thin top blanket. Fireplace was a gas fireplace with a 15min timer. Hot tubs are very old and worn. The stairs at night are lit by motion light so you can't really see what you're doing until half way up or down. Don't try to get a Sprite out of the soda machine, you'll get diet coke.. breakfast is next door at the gold beach inn and is minimal. spend the extra money and stay somewhere else. Only plus side was the price and views.

Stayed in the same cabin (Pine #4) that we did two years ago and it’s gone way downhill. Appreciated the wood fireplace and all, but the ant problem is insane. Little black ants were in the dresser eating dried, spilled liquid of some kind. Made the “mistake” of leaving some water crackers on the top over night (wrapped up) and woke up to tons of them everywhere and they’d gotten into everything. Coffee station in on that same surface, just FYI. Shampoo/conditioner/etc was empty. Recliners were crumb filled. Bathroom plumbing needs serious attention before someone falls through the subfloor by the toilet. I think a secondary issue is the installed shower curtain doesn’t properly keep water inside during showers. We really want to love this place but it needs some TLC :(

We visited the room and were greeted with a rather dingy, dated interior. Yes, the stone fireplace was there. The mattress on the bed was very lumpy and a bit too firm when we sat on it. the bathroom was tiny and dated as well. This cabin needs a little TLC. we opted to go with the Gold Beach Inn next door )same owners and were thrilled with the room. Maybe there are cabins that are updated some?
