Some family of mine were in town Friday evening and met with them at The Attic for a few drinks as well as dinner. The restaurant was really busy we were accommodated fairly quickly but while we were eating and catching up, I couldn't help but take notice of the amount of people waiting to be seated and a couple tables with dishes on them still.... while a couple younger ladies I assume were servers there, just standing around by the bathroom on there phone but this one employee, a little tiny tattooed girl was bussing the tables trying to get everyone seated admist the chaos of it all. I was able to stop her to get a refill on my drink and without breaking a sweat and a smile on her face she was able to help me and sit the other guests still waiting to be seated . I believe I even over heard they had a reservation and they still had to wait for a seat but that hostess was able to ensure their reservation was priority. She must be a blessing to have on your team . But as I was leaving I observed what I would make out to be her higher up scolding her in front of everyone, that was very unprofessional, I own my own business of a crew of about 25 people and if any of my guys did that they would be walking out the front door shortly after. You guys are lucky you have such a hard worker as her on your maybe some of her "team members" should take some notes on her work ethic, and pleasant demeanor. Over all, The Attic was am awesome environment and would definitely recommend it a must while at Salishan.

I made this stay exclusively for my daughters 6th birthday since she loves hotels (cause of the pool) and to surprise her after a long day on the beach. I prepaid for this room months in advance and called to ensure my money was taken so I could budget my finances on the trip. First thing from the checking in was a $50 hold. That was really unfortunate because we didn’t expect that or see it anywhere and if possible we would have tried to pay that in advance either. It took money we didn’t have to “hold”. We checked in at 4pm promptly and spent 2 hours In the pool before coming to our room to relax for a little and then we left to Lincoln city for food. When we came back I undressed the bed so my daughters could get comfy. Upon pulling back the blankets the first RED FLAG was the inside out sheet, did they just flip it? gross. Let me add, you couldn’t see this problem from the blankets and sheets being tucked, and then let’s not mention the oversized mattress cover that was spilling off the side. Real classy. Not what I expected for 4 star. My husband insisted i didn’t raise a stink because we were all so exhausted from driving and beach. He decided to try and fix the issue himself although the mattress cover is meant for a larger bed and that’s just that. I couldn’t fix it and we left it that way for my kids to sleep on. The beds were lumpy and uncomfortable and seemed smaller then a queen but that’s just my opinion. Furthermore the bottom shelf in the bathroom was broken on one side and there was dust everywhere like the room hadn’t been touched in months. The hot tub only worked when it wanted to and the breakfast was insanely overpriced for small portions and half cooked food. My hash browns and scrambled eggs were cold :( I considered coming back without my kids maybe for my anniversary but this was the cherry on top and as a stay at home mom who worked her butt off to afford this room I feel it was the farthest thing from being worth it. Would love to change my review if made right.

What a terrific staff beginning with the Pro Shop, working toward the starter and winding up with the grounds crew. Every single one, without exception, was courteous, helpful, polite and welcomed our little group (two dozen) of players. Other courses in Oregon and Washington both, could learn some important lessons from this group of professionals. What a total pleasure playing golf at Salishan! Any golfer wondering whether or not he or she should make the trip, the answer is a resounding, "Yes." You will be lucky to have experienced the same as our group of men and ladies did.

We planned our visit here from our home in New Zealand and it didn’t disappoint. The location is beautiful and the chilled vibe a perfect rest stop on our drive up Pacific Coast Byway 101. We ate in The Attic on our first night - a relaxed wine bar / bistro comfortable for all. Food was great , as was wine and the staff. Loved the veggie poutine ! We walked around the beautiful grounds and the gold course looked great. Main lodge is just lovely. Downsides : Rooms were fine if a little dated in bathroom. But the noise from neighbours through the ineffective connecting door was unacceptable, suggest you don’t put individual bookings in connecting rooms. There was cutlery or plates or washing up equipment in room - surely not due to COVID.? If it is, surely mask wearing is a better protector tin ? Really need these as you provide a useful mini kitchenette . And provide wine glasses so guests can enjoy your local wines in something other than a tumbler ! Beds were super comfortable but looked lumpy when you first saw them - worth addressing the aesthetics here ? The fireplace is lovely but being unable to turn off pilot light meant a fire glow all night - not ideal. A window would be great to get some good Oregon air - couldn’t leave the patio door open all night ! Avoid staying on Monday and Tuesday as all the fantastic looking facilities at the Salishan marketplace are shut 😥 We wish we had known this. We really loved this stay but really think the resort could update their website to reflect better the facilities at the Marketplace . Don’t be put off that it’s across the 101. It’s an easy walk either through the underpass or at the traffic lights where there’s a pedestrian crossing. We were also told the beach was an easy walk. It’s not. Take the car and drive to the end of the peninsula and hop over the sand dunes and you’ll be rewarded with the most stunning stretch of Pacific Ocean.

We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights. Our room overlooking the golf course. Our view was magnificent. Our experience from start to finish was amazing! When checking in Angel helped us at the counter. He asked if we had been there before and when I told him no he provided us with all of the information we needed and wanted. One really cool thing that Angel told me was that for every visit Salishan plants a tree! That is special to my heart as I am an Arborist. It was also my birthday week. All of the staff was great and I really wish I had gotten more of their names. There was a young lady who worked at the coffee bar and she was so nice and helpful also. The first day there it was raining so we decided to order room service. The same girl that was at the coffee bar also delivered our food with a smile!

This was our second visit to spend a few days away from home by the ocean. As the time in 2021 when we stayed, the room was comfortable, the fireplace providing additional heat and ambiance, the view of the bay excellent, and the location perfect for visiting the sights along the coast. Daily room service was not regular unless a guest requested it. Walking between buildings on site is enjoyable as the walkways are covered making it nice if raining. Our only disappointment was the kitchen didn't have the Salmon listed on the menu due apparently to a convention held the weekend before. We chose to go to Depoe Bay to Tidal Raves for a salmon dinner. Days were spent visiting the lighthouse near Newport and walking the private beach fronting the homes along the golf course and shoreline. It's a beautiful area to enjoy. Will return.

This was our second time staying at the Salishan. This trip, our family spent 5 days and didn't want to leave! The rooms were clean, roomy and every touch point of human interaction with Salishan staff was amazing. People were very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed dining at Provisions Market and the Beach Crest Brewery a few times, delicious and no fuss! We were also able to enjoy the chef's tasting menu at the Bay House, which was such a delightful experience with delicious food and high end service for the coast. The grounds at Salishan are expansive and lush, perfect to bring your pup and explore. The spa is a MUST! What an experience and such a view, not to mention the amenities and the experience. WOW! We plan to return and hope to try the ropes course and enjoy some s'mores at the huge outdoor fire pits. Highly recommend for couples and families.
