Michelle at check in and check out is absolutely wonderful!! Her personality fits this job....made us feel so welcomed! She is an asset to your lodge! Definitely need to keep her on board....she is awesome!
My husband and I stayed at Salishan July 30-August 4 and loved the experience. It is a beautiful location and the facilities are excellent. We made use of the tennis (husband said his lesson was great) facilities, the gym and the pool. We spent our days hiking and biking the surrounding area and fell in love with the Oregon coast region. Staff member Michelle went above and beyond for us during our stay, including helping to arrange a room change to accommodate our senior dog who struggled with the stairs down to the first room we were assigned. Speaking of rooms, they are quite spacious and pleasant. I also really enjoyed the opportunity to meet other guests in the outdoor spaces, especially the fire pits. We were sad to leave and will definitely return.
From Check in on there was nothing about this hotel that makes you want come back. Maybe I had high expectations. But the food was meh, rooms are meh, the staff except one bar tender and one person at breakfast bar were meh. (I am sure the staff that I did not see are very kind) But for the price you pay, I would think they would at least want you to be there and it seems they could care less.
My wife and I booked a two day getaway at Salishan and had the most relaxing time. The staff was more than beyond accommodating across the board. We ate dinner twice at The Attic and Becca, Brett and Matt knocked it out of the park! The cocktails were great...coming from one who doesn't typically like cocktails. Roger at the front desk gave us the lowdown on all of the places to visit while in town when we left property and helped get the stay on a great foot. My wife and I will for sure be back again anytime we need to sneak away for a couple of days..or a week. Would 10/10 recommend anyone looking at staying out at the coast to stay at Salishan!
It is a beautiful resort with a lot of lovely things to do. However, what makes this resort special is the people. The staff, especially the weight staff, are attentive, kind, and extremely efficient. The staff is what makes the trip.
Having never stayed here before, my husband I were pleasantly surprised at the loveliness of the setting, and our room overlooking the golf course. We had a lovely gas fireplace in our room. The bed was comfortable enough and the room was equipped with a large fan! We had dinner at The Attic - tip, do make a reservation for your meal. We walked in and they were able to seat us but had we come later in the evening we likely would not have been able to be seated! We did wish that Provisions offered a few more snacks or cookies for treats. We will definitely return in the off season, as this hotel definitely caters to summer golfers. The greens are definitely gorgeous. I would love to reserve a different room and have a different view next time! Only thing I would change is the room deodorize was really strong, had a lovely scent but we did have to open the window to air it out.…
Room 331 with Bay View was wonderful. Bay House Dining had wonderful hospitality and food. The Bay House Wine Shop tasting and Attic Restaurant were also good. They keep this place so beautiful. Enjoy it.
I've stayed at Salishan multiple times for one night getaways and work-related trips to the coast. The rooms have gas fireplaces and comfortable beds and are surrounded by trees so feel like cozy cabins. The grounds are beautiful even if you don't golf and there's an onsite cafe for quick breakfasts and snacks. If you are looking for lodging on the mid-coast this is a short distance between Lincoln City and Newport. Bonus: They offer pet-friendly rooms.
The Jacobson suite was beautiful! It was newly updated and had everything you needed from a full kitchen to a washer and dryer. The balcony had an amazing view of the driving range, you were able to access it from all the rooms. I would definitely stay at Salishan Coastal Lodge again!
We got to stay in the Jacobson Suite this weekend and it was definitely above and beyond expectations! The suite was so beautifully decorated and spacious with a deck stretching the full length of the suite overlooking the driving range. I enjoyed myself and slept so well on the big cozy beds. Thank you Salishan for providing a luxury escape!
