This is just the best kept secret in southern Oregon and convenient to Crater Lake. Marlene, the owner, is the kindest host you will ever meet. Each room has a different theme and is very comfortable. They all have a full kitchen and access to a BBQ grill. This was our third stay and we plan to come back again....

Great spot and Owner Marlene is terrific. Four and a half stars from me! Here's what's great. Proximity to Crater Lake National Park. Great bar with terrific food and drink just a couple of miles away - ask Marlene. A block off Route 97, it's pretty quiet. And the unit is very roomy. I'm fussy a out vies and this...

A friend and I were exploring high mountain lakes in beautiful Central Oregon, to plan spring fishing trips. Gilchrist Inn looked to be conveniently located and fairly priced in a very scenic area. Staying there was the best possible choice! This is an extremely attractive, comfortable and well set up/maintained/clean place to stay--reflecting the thought, care and effort of the...

We had lots of space!! We stayed in one of five units and I wished we had prepared for this stay. You had a kitchen, dining room and large screen TV in the living room. It was decorated in 60's style with a cute red and white kitchen. Very comfortable and manager was very accommodating. Location is about 30 minutes from...

The owner declined the reservation because of our group of people from outside U.S.A "do not fit her room" per her view. Very sad. The rooms are very nice and good location while traveling between Bend, OR to Crater Lake NP.

Came across Gilchrist Inn while searching for accommodations near Crater Lake. Booked a unit for two nights, and very happy we did. Vintage, knotty pine condo units - two bedrooms, one bath, kitchen, living room, small office, small patio with grill, table and chairs. Very clean, well maintained. No A/C, but high desert evenings make for comfy sleeping. No wifi...

Gilchrist is not much of a destination, although it's a half hour from Crescent Lake and 1.5 from Crater Lake. If you are traveling and need a room, Gilchrist Inn will suit demands. The room is very nice and has a kitchen, TV, and many nice beds. I didn't get to meet the owner, and the room was full of...

The place is very clean and huge! It's more like an apartment than hotel. When we got in the apartment, we were surprised how big it was. Marlene, the owner, is very nice. It's really a good place to stay on your way to visit Crater Lake! Gilchrist is like nothing else!

The Inn is only one hour away from Crater Lake National park. At first I booked the 3 bedroom unit for 5 adults but found out there is only one bathroom, so we end up using 2 units, one 3 bedroom and one 2 bedroom units and the price is still cheaper than 3 motel rooms! The units are like...

Marlene the owner is so accommodating and sweet. Our place was affordable and super cozy. We ate dinner at the Mohawk diner about 1 mile down the road and ate the best french dip sandwich. Cool place with taxidermy and a collection of bottles displayed. The inn is actually like little apartments. Very clean. Our bed was so comfy. After...
