An absolute delightful experience. Our hosts for the two night stay, Kara and Brian, so caring and attentive. Their historic ranch house is both quaint and modernized. Free WiFi, comfortable queen bed, fluffy towels, a separate cook House with barbecue, and horseback rides. The basement rooms have their own bathroom, and are daylighted. Great for a family with kids. Breakfast... More

Our stay at Wilson Ranches and Retreat was a great experience. Phil, Nancy, Kara and her husband were really welcoming, charming and funny. Our 2yo son loved the place, the horses, the cows. It was so quiet and beautiful. Kara and Nancy were also really helpful to plan our visit in the region. I would highly recommend their accomodation to... More

I suggest that you seriously consider adding the Wilson Ranch Retreat to your vacation agenda., especially if you have children or others who love horses and want to experience the vastness of open space. We went in late July ; two of us... More

Our family (son Todd and daughters Miya and Elsa, and son Brent and DIL Loni) spent time here just "hanging out". It was wonderful!!! We rode horses, hiked, traveled to the fossil beds in Fossil, Clarno, and John Day areas and saw lots of wild life. We really enjoyed the ranch breakfasts - Brian is an excellent cook!!! Our rooms... We stayed 2 nights in the Buckhorn room. This is a lovely property and a working ranch, which we had the pleasure of exploring on horseback - a memorable "round-up" experience, lil' dogies and all! Nancy and Phil are wonderful hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed invigorating conversations with them and other guests around the breakfast table both mornings. Good food, comfy... More

If you're looking to get a real taste of Eastern and Central Oregon ranching country, Wilson Ranches is the real deal. I stayed there in January, and only for one night, but I'll be back. Real nice folks, and frankly, one of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time. No kidding! Genuine and honest people running a nice... More

Looked online for a place to take my 2 teenage daughters horseback riding in Oregon, and did we hit the jackpot. The stars on the night we arrived were pretty amazing. The breakfast the next morning was just as advertised and then we spent 5 hours on horseback just riding in the hills and enjoying incredible, unspoiled Oregon mountain scenery.... More

It is quite a drive to Fossil...especially when its 90 plus degrees.....but spending time here makes it all worthwhile! The ranch nestles in a quiet valley away from the small town...go outside in the middle of the night and see the stars!!!!! Take a ride with some of the family or their ranch hands.....get really close to Oregon! the arrival... More

We were originally booked for 3 nights and ended up adding another night to make it 4 nights of a lovely visit. We also did not know what to expect and were delighted when we met so many wonderful people from many different places. The breakfast table is a definite highlight of staying at the ranch. Great story telling and... More
