I traveled to this B & B for a 2 night stay and it was very nice. The rooms are nicely decorated and the breakfast was perfect. Good location close to Crater Lake National Park. Janet was very accommodating and informative.
Janet is like your family and her breakfasts are great. She will allow you to use her kitchen and a small refrigerator, the place is in a super quite area with beautiful sunsets, but there is nothing around. To be fair, she lets you know when you make a reservation. The house is great, but our room needed some TLC considering that the rate is not cheap, I know we are in Crater Lake boundaries. For us was a great stay, having the B&B for us the second night. QUITE AREA, this is your best choice, if you want more options in food and market with almost the same distance to the south park entrance you can consider Union Creek, we found there a beautiful area with a river and different food options. Crate Lake Lodge has to be booked too much in advanced, but still I will choose the B&B or Union Creek. It is your choice, do your homework. Thanks Janet!…
We stayed here in August 2016 but we never left a review, which is a travesty as this was such a memorable part of our honeymoon on the west coast. The day before we had climbed Mount Rainier and we used this tremendous B&B as our recoup spot. Janet sent us a package in the mail with information (including about the zip line not too far, which she obtained specifically because we asked!). The house was clean, the dogs were great and the food was delicious. Sunset off of the back porch was unforgettable and we hope to go back in the winter to snowshoe... We had not stayed at a B&B before so we were unsure of what to expect. Janet was awesome at respecting boundaries but when we had conversations she had great stories and was fun to be around. I don't see how you could go wrong here...there is Crater Lake, a great Mexican restaurant nearby and ziplining close. Great place to stay for a great price...…
Janet and Remy were very welcoming and had a lovely home. We stayed in the Oriental Room which was spacious with a large bathroom and the queen bed was very comfortable. Janet served wonderful breakfasts - just what was needed before a day exploring Crater Lake. Would definitely recommend if you're visiting Crater Lake.
I stayed here with my daughter while we explored the Crater Lake area. We were warmly welcomed and made to feel at home right away. Our room was very large and connected to a lovely back porch area that looked onto the marsh with all of its happenings - cows, birds, coyotes and a wonderful dog that is very well trained and loves to play fetch. The breakfasts were fresh and very tasty. The drive to Crater Lake took about 30-45 minutes but did not seem long as it went through lovely countryside. We highly recommend this b&b and hope to be back some day (with my dog, Goose).
Janet, who owns this bed and breakfast, is an outstanding hostess. This is not your typical b&b. It is much more like visiting a relative. Janet made us feel very at home letting us use anything in the house we needed. Breakfasts were delicious. We grilled our dinner two nights which was very helpful as there are few restaurants in the area. Janet suggested we buy our food in the last big town before getting to Fort Klamath which was very good advice. Location is very good for Crater Lake. It is about 6 miles to the park and 23 to the lake.
The Crater Lake B&B should be your first consideration if you are planning to spend time in the Park. The accommodations are terrific...clean, roomy, well appointed...the breakfast delicious, and the hosts warm, welcoming but not intrusive. Add in the great wi-fi with cows right outside your window (at least in the warmer months) and it cannot be beat. An extra bonus is the easy drive to the south Park entrance which is more accessible year round. Plus there are lots of other places to see and hike in the area.
I wanted to take the bed home, it was so comfortable. The room was spotless. We had views to the south and west that were gorgeous. Janet was extremely helpful and our two breakfasts were delicious. I would have rated this a 5-stars except I come from the east where most B&Bs are in interesting historic properties. Perhaps with more experience of B&Bs in the west, I would increase this rating.
Comfortable and clean room, and a good breakfast. It is about as close to Crater Lake as you can get. The National Park has few rooms at Crater Lake Lodge and only a few more at Mazama Village, not nearly enough to fill the demand of visitors on slow days. Crater Lake Bed and Breakfast is perfect for a trip to the park if you don't camp.
This bed and breakfast is not to be missed! It is only 20 minutes from Crater Lake South End Entrance, Janet is a gem who is the perfect hostess, and makes the most incredible breakfasts (to keep you satisfied all day)! There are 3 different rooms (2 upstairs and one downstairs), and Janet will even let you bring your pet. Janet has a wealth of knowledge about the area and is there to help you plan your trip every step of the way.
