Detailed Reviews
This place is just amazing. Let me start, first , by saying that we drove from San Jose to Chiloquin on Friday afternoon and were delayed by a lot many hours, due to a lot many factors. Janet, was up to receive us at 12:30 AM , and not only did she keep the light on, she was all the time on phone with us giving us directions ( somehow the GPS does not catch her house address). A huge plus when you are traveling more than 8 hours and are gonna be arriving late.
Her place is a good 15 minutes away from the south entrance. It is one of those drive's one would always enjoy, whether it is sunny or snowy. Reaching the spot was not an issue at all. You'll make it when you are there. Time, to reach the south rim, should be least of the factors you should consider when staying with her.
The rooms are spacious , clean and good. She has two well behaved dogs, and , was dog-sitting 2 more when we were there . As my son is fond of dogs he did have a great time at her place. Breakfast is sumptuous and filling . She has good knowledge about the lake. Frankly, she's not much of a salesman either ( in a good way for the tourists) . She honestly told us that a day up at the lake was sufficient and we can plan for other things on other days. I could' nt remember when was last time I heard that from any sales person. She sends a lot of reading stuff prior to your arrival and if one carefully goes through it , one can plan his trip better. I a way she is efficient with what she does.
Her place is surrounded by cattle ranches, flanked by mountains. This, makes it really conducive for people who want to spend some time in peace away from the hustling city life. Time comes to a standstill at this place. Gazing stars ( Sky is so clear) and driving upto the lake are only two activities
I would definitely stay with her again! Makes me feel like home.

Our jovial hostess, Mrs. McNeil, provided warm hospitality, fine breakfast for all of us, (two carnivores and two veggies) and TLC of our daughter's pup. This is the closest such accommodation to Crater Lake, about twenty minutes away. Secluded in its way, surrounded by grazing cattle, and with excellent mattresses for a restful sleep.

Spent three nights at the Crater Lake B&B. It's about 1/2 hour south of the Park entrance, so a great alternative to the (more expensive) lodge in the park. Very quiet and peaceful surroundings. Birding and fishing opportunities are nearby. The rooms were very nice, I had the opportunity to experience both rooms at the B&B. The upstairs room, The Oriental, had great views of the surrounding land. It was roomy and very clean. The upstairs bathroom had no shower at the time of my stay, but my understanding was that renovations were pending! The downstairs room, The Nautical, was also large with views of the surrounds. The downstairs bathroom did have a shower, and was also handicap accessible. Can't say enough about the breakfasts! Janet is an excellent cook, and had many stories of her past places of employment. Both hosts were knowledgeable about the surrounding countryside and were more than helpful. Extensive library of DVDs and videos for evenings. There are family dogs that come in the house during the night, but are very friendly. Highly recommended!

We chose to stay here because of it's location. The first thing we noticed when we arrived was the condition of the garage. It badly needs paint. This was an indicator of things inside. The house needs a good cleaning and some repair. It has great potential but needs work. While the dogs are friendly, there is dog hair/fur all over the house. The furniture on the living room and parlor are in sad shape and need to be replaced. For $140 it should be much better.

The room was nice enough but our first night there the owner's dog was hit by a skunk outside at 4am. The smell was so bad it was impossible to sleep and continued so that we were not willing to spend another night. That wasn't the owner's fault.
But when we changed our plans the owner made no effort to accommodate us. When pressed she offered a transferable credit. But then in subsequent correspondence she changed that to 50% credit and then finally did not follow through on that.
The skunk was disagreeable but the owner's response was abysmal.

This Bed and Breakfast is about 15 miles from the South entrance of Crater Lake NP. Jim and Janet, the owners are extremely helpful and accomodating. They gave us many helpful suggestions on the limited dining options in the Crater Lake area. The Nautical room was large and comfortable with lots of windows. The breakfast was delicious and abundant with personal preferences taken into account. There are currently 2 rooms available and they hope to add a third in the near future. In addition to being spacious, clean and confortable, the Nautical room was also completely wheelchair accessible. This B&B is also pet friendly.

We stayed at Crater Lake B & B for our anniversary in September 2014. From the beginning, Janet, the owner/hostess was friendly, welcoming and provided detailed info about the B & B, directions, and things to do in the area. The B & B is only 15 minutes from the Crater Lake South entrance.
Per instructions we called Janet to say when we'd arrive. When we got there, she was on the porch waiting for us with a huge smile. Other guests arrived at the same time as us, and we all were oriented simultaneously. The other guests had stayed there before, so were very chummy with our hostess. We had lovely conversations on the front wrap-around porch, then later in the living when it got too cool outside. Janet stayed busy in the kitchen when we were overcome with the smell of cookies baking. She warmly presented us with a plate of home-baked chocolate chip and sugar cookies and offered coffee or tea. Very unexpected and welcome. It was like visiting with long lost relatives.
We stayed in the Garden Room, which has a lovely, large bathroom with tiled walk-in shower. Everything in the room was very clean and quaint. The room is quite large. The view from the bed was of an open field and mountains with beef cattle. Sunset and sunrise were beautiful! Though the cattle mooed us awake at 3:15 AM, it was minor and we went back to sleep quickly.
In the morning Janet had coffee and tea water waiting for us all. Breakfast was fresh, ample and deliciously prepared. Fresh fruit salad, scrambled eggs, yummy bacon, English and orange muffins and potatoes. There were other choices on the table as well; orange juice, homemade jam, milk, cereal, yogurt and grapefruit. At our insistence, our hostess sat down with us and we got a wonderful history of how the B & B came into existence over the meal.
The house is lived in and has a collection of family heirlooms and gathered knick knacks that all have a story. Janet is a kind and spunky woman who obviously loves people and entertaining them. She will make your visit memorable.

When we planned our Oregon adventure we wanted to stay at the Crater Lake Lodge; however, it was booked during our stay. Instead, we booked two nights at the Crater Lake Bed and Breakfast (CLBB), which is close to the Crater Lake south entrance (20 minutes). Before our arrival Janet sent us a welcome package with tons of useful information. The minute we arrived at CLBB it felt like we were staying with a long lost relative. Janet is warm and welcoming and immediately made us feel right at home in her house. She was very knowledgeable of the area for Crater Lake National Park visits and restaurants. Her wonderful dogs, Behr and Toby, are very friendly and they were the highlight of our kid's (age 20 and 18) visit. Janet fed us each morning with an excellent and filling breakfast. The rooms were spacious/clean with updated bathrooms. We are definitely glad that we stayed at the CLBB and would highly recommend it to anyone. We hope to stay here again in the future.

Feel at home while staying here. Janet keeps everything clean and convenient.
She tries different styles of breakfast every morning.
Her dogs Bear and Toby are very cute and friendly.
The site is surrounded by farmlands and great views. It is close to Crater Lake National Park's south entrance.
But it is far away from any gas stations, so need to fill up the gas.

We needed a last minute place to stay on our way to Crater Lake. Janet luckily had a room available for us. She was warm and friendly on the phone and it only got better when we arrived. We were treated like family!
Great large bedroom and bathroom. Large comfortable bed. Breakfast was varied and delicious, plus she made it for us early so we could get to the park for an early morning hike.

Nope. I remember deleting the phone number from my phone when I didn't get an answer to several calls back in 2018. No reply or rejection of my email either. Too bad. It was a nice place to stay.
Lila, Have 3 rooms. Call me at 1-541-381-9711 Janet
