We enjoyed a night in Falls City at Little Luckiamute Creekside B&B. Cheryl was welcoming and accommodating! The space is beautiful, clean, comfortable, and has everything you need. We enjoyed hanging out on the deck overlooking the river and it's an easy walk to The Bread Board for amazing pizza! Homemade breakfast was delicious! Would recommend for anyone looking for a night away!
My husband and I spent two nights on a trip to visit family. We need separate beds, so we had the bunk room. The beds are extra long twins and the mattresses are very comfortable. Each room has its own AC/heat system, and they work very quickly so there's no need to leave it on when you leave. Breakfast is not prepared. There is yogurt, juice, fruit, milk, and some sort of bread in the fridge. I enjoyed tea and cream. There is a local coffee roaster, whose coffee they have and sell, which is very popular, but I'm a tea girl. The living area is spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms are large. The creek at the foot of the lawn is lovely. I sat and enjoyed it for quite awhile.
My husband and I came to the little town of Falls City, Oregon to visit some family and view the total solar eclipse. We were relieved to get lodging at all during this eclipse high demand time-- 4 nights at the Little Luckiamute Creekside B&B. After arriving, though, we felt lucky and delighted because the Little Luckiamute is enchanting in its own right. Located on the east side of the coastal range and just a half hour from Salem, we were in easy driving distance from Oregon's beautiful coastal scenery. We visited the nearby Chatoe Rogue Farm where the hop harvest was in full swing and delicious craft beers abound. The Airlie Winery, among others, is nearby, and Falls City is close to some great hiking and biking trails. We had plenty to do before and after the eclipse! The Little Luckiamute Creekside B&B is a brand new facility lovingly built by its warm, friendly hosts, Cheryl and Dave, who have thought of every amenity. The rooms are comfortable and very well-appointed. We stayed in two different rooms and, though I loved them both, I especially enjoyed the "Bicycle Room", because it is on the river side and I fell asleep listening to the sounds of the Little Luckiamute stream babbling and bubbling (each room has its own AC/Heat control, but it was cool outside and we kept our window open; it was very quiet except for the pleasant nature sounds). There is a large, cozy common area with a well-equipped entertainment system, and a full kitchen which Cheryl stocked with lots of goodies. We enjoyed eating our breakfast outside on the large upper deck overlooking the beautiful property and stream. We absolutely want to visit again and we don't need an eclipse as a reason!…
