We spent 3 nights at C'est La Vie Inn and wished to stay forever. Josh is such an amazing innkeeper and chef. The breakfasts he prepared were delicious! It is such a gorgeous inn with romantic rooms and stunning gardens. This is a special place and will be our go to each time we visit Eugene. It beats any hotel stay by far.
Beautifully maintained inn and grounds on a quiet street. The welcoming owner made our stay enjoyable, despite these difficult pandemic times. The French theme and care in details was evident throughout the home. My only minor quibble is that the bed was a little too soft. Nice breakfast to end out stay.
We have never stayed at a B&B so we were anxious but also excited. This place was amazing! Even with COVID-19, the owners made sure we were all safe and comfy. And the cookies they made us oh my god. The place is gorgeous. Very clean. The homemade breakfast to die for. The entire time we spent there was well worth all of our anxiety. We will stay again. And again. Thanks to Josh and Miriam for a lovely experience!
This is the best place to stay in Eugene! Upon arrival, Josh greeted us wearing a trout patterned mask and black gloves. While maintaining social distancing, he proudly gave us a detailed tour of the house complete with stories about the original horse hair wallpaper, French settee and meticulously wound grandfather clock in sync with the cycle of the moon! Our rooms were regal, fine linens, private bath, etched glass windows. That evening, We were served chocolate chip toffee cookies in the library, port wine and chocolates in dining room and the next day, coffee before a full delicious breakfast. And then there’s the garden—outdoor perfection full of little surprises. All in all, I can’t think of a better place to have found sanctuary in the midst of the chaos. I highly recommend staying here any time!…
My husband and I have stayed three times at C'est La Vie. Our children live close by and are remodeling their house. Rather than crowd in, we enjoy a quiet evening at the Inn after a full day of physical labor. Miriam and Josh are very friendly and the Inn is beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean and serene. Breakfast is amazing with a perfect fruit cup, full breakfast and a sweet something to round it out. We only planned to stay the first time, but now we are hooked.
