This would be my go-to hotel if we go back to Eugene. The service was like staying at a luxory hotel. The front desk staff really knew their customer service, and they also offer wine! The parking is valet but was all good. The room was A LOT of fun with various electronic controls, a great big shower, superior TV, ultra-comfortable bed that I still miss, and fun entertainment autographed posters on the walls. Also had a fireplace. It was not cheap cost-wise, but it was one of my most enjoyable hotel stays.
Everything was perfect! This is my go to hotel when in Eugene. I can not say enough about EVERY single staff member I encountered. They were friendly, helpful and just wonderful. The hotel room is well planned and very comfortable. I enjoyed being able to walk to the shops and restaurants and it is easy access to the U of O campus. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
We stayed for one night to tour OU campus with our daughter. The hotel is nice with several dining/drinking/shopping options on-site and across the street. The staff was very friendly and eager to assist. This will be our ‘go to’ spot when we visit our daughter at school.
Spent a three day weekend at the Inn at the 5th while attending a sports event at UO. Staff at every level could not be more friendly and welcoming, and everything about the still-new facility radiated unpretentious class and elegance. Yes, it's a little pricey but I felt it was well worth it. On arrival at the airport, I found the complimentary shuttle bus waiting patiently for my arrival, and used the service on my departure as well. Another definite plus for me. My junior suite was located on the fourth floor directly above the main hotel entrance, and because I had requested a quiet room, the bedroom was located inside of the unit, meaning it had no windows at all, just three walls and the hallway, rendering it a little on the dark side. That was the only downside for me. Despite this odd inner room set-up, I still had difficulty sleeping on those nights when the trains ran (a block away from the hotel) blasting their horns at supersonic frequencies, loud enough to be heard in Springfield, I suspect. It's something that could make or break your stay here as the trains run on unpredictable schedules all day and night. At the very least you could ask to be positioned on the side of the hotel not directly facing the train tracks but it may not make much of a difference. We ate a fairly average meal at the hotel's restaurant, Marche, but with above average prices. One doesn't come to Eugene expecting gourmet food but our expectations for dinner at Marche were predictably high. The truth is it's just an average bistro so perhaps if you go with your expectations in check you might enjoy it more than we did. Sadly the hotel does not offer breakfast at all, but one can order room service in the morning from Provisions, a bakery/café located just next door in the Mall with a good range of breakfast patries and sandwiches. Or you can go in person but be prepared to wait as the hot food dishes there do take a while to arrive. Otherwise, the hotel offers free coffee and tea in the mornings and guests can help themselves to a choice of drinks and snacks available at all hours in the lobby. Overall, a wonderful hotel to stay at if only the authorities could find a way to manage the noisy parade of trains that pass through the city at all hours of the day and night.…
We stopped in at the Inn at the 5th on our way to Crater Lake National Park and were shocked by the beauty of every aspect of our visit. From the complimentary glass of wine in the lobby to the comfort of the room with the nicest shower I have ever seen at a hotel, our experience was incredible. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Eugene.
The staff was helpful and friendly and made our Eugene Marathon weekend easy and stress free. The valet service was quick and the front desk staff was kind and knowledgeable. I also loved the free seltzer water in the lobby!
I was exhausted and frazzled after a long drive from Sacramento. With my dog and a car filled with personal items, the staff went above and beyond to ensure my items were safely stored away for the night and my car was parked in their secured lot. The front desk helped me to my room, carrying my items for me so I could manage my nervous dog. They took all the stress away so that I could relax and rest in my room.
Overall great place to stay in Eugene. Great location in 5th Street Market. Excellent and polite staff. Had a little trouble with our HVAC temp control, kept sending out cold air; but otherwise excellent room and experience. Good for romantic getaway. Marche is a great French-themed restaurant next door. Toiletries and bathroom amenities could be a little nicer - soap was tiny, barely made it through the day, and TP was thin, had to use a lot. Overall good value for quality and location.
Pablo made the stay for us from the minute we arrived. Madison was darling and warm. Nice hotel. Exceptional staff. All of them. Even the housekeeping staff were extremely helpful and always pleasant.
We lived in Eugene from 1984-2005, and it was nice to return. The Inn is located in the popular and attractive Fifth Street Market area. We visited old and new places. All staff were attentive and friendly. Of note: we have a small camper van and we were concerned about security of the overnight parking location. The parking valet (2 weeks on the job, UO freshman from San Diego) was especially accomodating and found us a secure spot near the Inn. We very much appreciated his attention, concern, and efforts.
