I stayed here while attending a conference in Eugene. The staff is very nice and helpful. The rooms are lovely and the butler service is super cool. I also enjoyed where it is located as you can walk across the plaza and find food, drinks or whatever you might want. Loved

we arrived later than expected and the vallet greeted us with a smile. The checkin process was quick and easy. Our room was tidy and the beds comfortable. We were traveling from Hawaii and drove in late from Portland-so we were exhausted. The guest services made us feel like we

Average everything but with high prices. Did not feel a warm welcome. Employees were robotic. Food was below average. The hotel was clean. Happy to find a warm blanket in the closet. A train blowing its horn runs several times a day and night!!

Dear Discovery, I would like to sincerely thank you for taking the time to complete our survey. We truly appreciate the valuable feedback from your recent stay as it allows our hotel team an opportunity to grow and improve. I am so very sorry that we fell short of meeting your expectations in a couple areas and failed to deliver exceptional guest service from every one of our team members. We pride ourselves on providing spontaneous and genuine interactions with all our guests and your experience is far outside of the norm so I assure you that I will follow up with the guest facing teams to remind them the importance of always providing warm and personal interactions. Additionally, I will reach out the Marche Restaurant, who provide our in room dining and banquet food, to share your comments. They too, take all guest feedback very seriously. Lastly, there is nothing worse than staying at a hotel and not getting a good night's sleep. Believe me when I say we would love nothing more than to alter the course of the train and we continue to express the noise concerns to the city of Eugene with a strong hope that we may see change in the future. However, given that is not a possibility at this moment, we have tried to do as much as we can to mitigate the noise. From triple pane glass to ear plugs on demand, we want to help our guest get a wonderful night's sleep. Although this has certainly helped, we recognize it is not perfect. Again, thank you for your feedback and please feel free to reach out to me personally if I can address any other concerns. We welcome the opportunity for you to give us another try on your next visit to Eugene. Martha Morningstar Director of Sales

Dear Elvis579 , I apologize for my delay in responding to your question. There are taxis available in Eugene. Our complimentary shuttle service is available on request and a favorite amenity. Our team knows the campus well and glad to answer questions about the UO. Many of them are attending currently or have graduated from UO. We added a third pane of glass to our rooms that face 5th street. This helped immensely with train noise. I recommend our balcony king guestrooms as our quietest rooms. They are on the south side of the building and offer a private balcony which is a great feature to enjoy. Thank you for your question. Jenny

The hotel has valet parking if i remember right is $15 or 17 a day- no in out charges. But the Hotel is in a unique market and I am pretty sure you can park it for no fee. Amtrak is almost walking distance per the map, but you may prefer the luxurious Mercedes shuttle car that is supplied free of charge (well 5 dollar tip for me). Do set a time for its use ahead of time to assure it's availability when you need it.

Is there a restaurant in the hotel or is the only room service through Marche?
beckyjean8 - thank you for your question. Marche is our partner restaurant and provides our in room dining. They are located just outside our front door. We are located in the 5th Street Public Market where there is an assortment of dining options from sandwiches to sushi. In addition, there are several dining options within a 5 block radius of the hotel that offer a variety of styles of food. Please feel free to contact us if we may be of further assistance in helping you to plan your trip.
