The views are wonderful- you see the rolling, vine filled vistas of Tuscany- well, almost- it is, after all Oregon. The breakfast is fulsome and flavorful. Sunday breakfasts are especially expansive and delicious -served up in the kitchen and generously given out by the friendly hosts who are full of good information about the area. I have stayed here before... More

Absolutely wonderful! We were upgraded upon arrival to the L'Amour suite which has the most amazing views from its terrace. The breakfasts here are delicious. Everything and I mean everything was a 5 star.

I don’t know where to start this review. 5 stars for sure! Beautiful setting, nice hosts, gorgeous view (we saw Mt Hood as the sun was rising one morning)…and our room was fantastic. So many adjectives…I think I was running out of them. We stayed in the vineyard suite which has a big king bed and very large bathroom with... More

The Black Walnut was incredible! Upon arrival they upgraded our room to the Master suite (which had unbelievable views!). The room was gorgeous, the breakfast every morning was delicious, and the owners were delightful to talk to. We couldn't ask for a better place to stay. Convenient and beautiful!

My son- in-law and were en route to the Erath Vineyard and made a detour up the hill to have a look at the Black Walnut Inn and Winery. The fantastic location on top of the Dundee Hills looks across the vineyards to the distant Mount Hood and Mount Jefferson. The Inn is designed like a magnificent Tuscan Villa and... More

What a beautiful property and experience to stay here. Karen, Neal, Melissa and Brooklyn were just fabulous and full of knowledge about the area. They were all very accommodating to special requests. Also, can we talk about the food? That fresh strawberry jam should be available to be purchased. Everything was just so fresh and delicious with lots of healthy... More

The location is stunning - probably as good as anywhere in the world. The rooms are comfortable & well furnished & the breakfasts excellent. However, two areas for feedback. On arrival we had to find our own way to our room which was across the courtyard & upstairs. Showing us to our room would have added a personal touch. Also,... More

Thanks for your kind words to us. We would love to have a kettle in the rooms however health department regulations prohibit it...same reason we do not have microwaves...wish we could fix that. Thanks for the "take you to your room" comment. We are hopeful our staff is doing that for guests and will check in with them about that.... More

We stayed at the Black Walnut Inn over the weekend. Unfortunately, it was only for one night, which was not enough! The property is beautiful as well as the views. Karen and Neal were so friendly and Karen cooked a spectacular breakfast. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed and provides lots of privacy, if wanted. The location... More

First of all let me say that the property is stunning with great views. Our room was clean and spacious. Brooklyn who checked us in could not have been nicer and was very helpful. Our favorite part of our stay was having the opportunity to talk to the owners father, Vern. This is not an inexpensive place and I just... More

Vern is certainly an addition as he is now living with us and is 92! We work diligently to meet or exceed our competition in the area and are aware that our price point reflects this work. As seen in other reviews, our wine is available to guests who ask about it and want to visit our winery. Neal is... More
