Gracious hospitality in a quiet, sleepy little town. Really good food. Assigned seating for dinner. Ask for one of the two rooms with a private bath. I highly recommend Diamond Hotel and would stay here again. Much better than the Frenchglen Hotel.

The dinners were well made and served family style. The fellow guests were well educated and interesting. The rooms were quiet (no night traffic in a town with the population of 5). The rooms were spacious and priced right. The rooms in the front of the hotel have private bathrooms. My wife likes a hot breakfast. Hotel Diamond did not...

The host was terrific and dinner was great. It was nice to sit for a family meal and make new friends. Continental breakfast was more than adequate. We had room B with a private bath. We only stayed one night while visiting the Steen Mountains, but I would definitely stay there again. Could use a little updating, but highly recommend...

Rented out the hotel, house and cottage for large family get together. It was amazing, hospitality was great, food was fantastic and price was reasonable. I would highly recommend Hotel Diamond for a quite weekend getaway or a huge family get together... 👍🏼👍🏼

This hotel is primarily a place people stay when auto (or possibly bicycle or motorcycle) touring in the Steens Mountain area (highly recommended). It is located in Diamond, Oregon, a "town" with a population of five (yes, 5) that is in the middle of a quite out-of-the way part of Oregon. It is an old building (1898) with, of course,...

We recently spent 2 nights at the Hotel Diamond while sightseeing in the Steens Mountains in Eastern Oregon. The Steens were awesome, but what made the trip memorable was the Hotel Diamond. We were traveling with 2 other couples and took over the 3 rooms that make up the bottom floor of the hotel. The hotel consists of 3 very...

My husband and I stayed here for one night and enjoyed it so much. Hotel Diamond is a simple, old hotel without the usual amenities that chain hotels have, but it has so much more to offer. The setting is stunning, the owners are kind and interesting people, and the food was great. Rooms are small and beds are queen...

Our experience at the ranch house was so-so. The ranch house is a few miles from the hotel and has three bedrooms a living room and big kitchen. It's not really a historic structure-1960s interior. Good things: roomy and functional; pretty location with farm animals wandering around; friendly owners. Mediocre things: Kind of expensive ($200/night for family of five) but...

The wonderfully remote location, convivial fellow travelers and Super-hospitable proprietors and staff makes even a short stay at the Hotel Diamond feel like a deep vacation. We enjoyed the wrap around screen porch for games and reading before the sumptuous family style dinners were served. It's in the middle of amazing birding country, so that's sure to be a topic...

This is the first time we stayed at the ranch house instead of the main hotel. The ranch house is located in a side valley about a 10 minute drive from downtown Diamond (population 3). The ranch house has three bedrooms, one with two beds, a single bathroom, a living room, and a large kitchen. The location is quite beautiful,...
