We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay! The pools are cleaned three times a day and the grounds are pristine. The food is hot and miss but we were prepared for that and brought some of our own food. I think the cabins with bathrooms are WAY over priced. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.we will be back.

We decided to re-visit Breitenbush as it's our favorite escape. Our bodies needing de-stressing and Breintenbush proved again this is the place to be. We chose to do massages this time. Ilsa has magic healing hands! I began relaxing the moment she started talking. I assume she may have been doing Reiki but as I was face down and sinking... More

Fabulous food and serene environment. The cabins are simple but comfortable. As two of 75 yoga practitioners we were crowded into a space better suited for 50 people or less. This made for a less than desirable experience but the outdoor surroundings mostly made up for the claustrophobic workshop.

Nights 4 & 5 of a road trip of hot spring resorts. Only place we stayed two nights at - I would suggest you do the same ;-) Early (watch the sun rise) morning, late afternoon (checkout is at 1pm, check in not until 3pm) are best times to get the pools to yourself - although anybody else in the... I of course went straight to the hottest spring at 106 and it was awesome! Being rained on was a bit much as you are trying to lean back but now I know not to go in early March! Relaxing atmosphere in the lodge to change and hang out in the library too!

My cabin was surprisingly still standing (I think it was held together with moss). And yet ... There is something about the location, the hot springs, the peacefulness that makes one more mindful and less focused on such things.

In all of our travels I always reserve some time for places that are a little off the grid. Hot-springs have become a favourite place for us for some time out from the world for relaxing, reconnecting and rewilding. I’ve visited a number of hot-spring retreats in California over the years - Wilbur, Orr and Harbin - so I had... More

Rustic, bring your own bedding cabin. No locks, but never felt the need for one. Ours had a half bath, showers are available down the way. BE SURE to take advantage of the brand new cedar and rock outside shower overlooking the Brietenbush River. Everything is geothermal, so lots of hot water and heat. Lucked out, our cabin was in... I was invited by my sister to go with her for a day trip to the hot springs. It had been a rough couple of months so I was looking forward to unplugging and hiking. It took a couple of hours for us old ladies to work up the courage to expose our old, lumpy bodies and strip down, but... More

I came with my daughter for a yoga/meditation retreat for 2 days. We thoroughly enjoyed everything (apart from no hot water in the shower). The setting was beautiful. The accommodations were spartan but comfortable - as we had expected. The heat worked well on a cool night. The food was fantastic. Nice to not have to worry about your possessions.... More
