The Surfrider Resort is nestled atop a bluff overlooking Fogarty Creek and the Pacific Ocean, located just two miles north of Depoe Bay, between Lincoln City and Newport. While at the Surfrider, visit Depoe Bay, the world's "Smallest Harbor" famous for whale watching or reserve a trip for deep sea fishing. Visit Newport for the outstanding Oregon Coast Aquarium, Ripley's Believe it or Not and the wax Museum. We are within a few miles of golfing, kayaking and waterfall hiking trails. There is no need to leave the Surfrider at all to simply watch the resident pod of whales play, eagles soar, seals nap, and the sun sets over the ocean from the comfort of your room or the restaurant and bar. The beach access takes you down to search for agates, make a beach fire and watch the waves crash into the unique rocky outcropping. We have banquet rooms that can hold up to 80 people and full catering available for weddings, birthdays and special events.

We booked a room with an ocean view and a deck. What a beautiful place to stay. Room was spacious and clean. Loved the fireplace. Used the hot tub in the evening after our walk to the beach. Definitely would stay here again!

We arrived for our 24th anniversary weekend at 4pm on Friday. The room was very outdated, and could have been a bit cleaner. Mildew in the bathroom, windows opened but then it took an act of 'God' to get them closed again and they would not lock. Also the television would not

Thank you for your feedback. We take all guest concerns very seriously and have addressed them with the front desk agent to assure the best training for assisting guests. We have just painted all of our rooms, and are adding new rugs, colorful comfy throw blankets and decorative pillows as well as custom art pieces. We hope this additions will compliment the other upgrades. Although we are always welcoming any more amenities you might think we could add. The little 6 inch windows do take a lot of maintenance being right on the water. We do our best to keep them functioning smoothly and will certainly review the room you were in. Thank you for letting us know as we want all of our guests to enjoy watching the whales and the waves without anything to disrupt their experience. We do hope you will reconsider and return to enjoy an improved stay with us.

This has been one of the best coast trips we have taken. The hotel is right on the water and the views are spectacular!! But the hidden gem of this hotel is the restaurant that’s inside. The food is fabulous and the service is some of the best we’ve ever had - and we’ve eaten

The Surfrider is our favorite hotel, only 15 minutes from home. When we need to get away, we stay there for a night, usually on our birthdays. The rooms are so comfortable and the beach is an easy walk, just downhill from the restaurant. The sand is deep and course loaded with

This is a photo of the shared entry way, with the door open. Not a big deal, except the locks are not secure. So, anyone could break into your room from a neighboring room. Plus, our neighbors left the door open all night, and let their dogs sleep right outside our door. It was lovely. (sarcasm intended.)
This is the door to the connecting entry way to the patio. Because the neighbors left their door propped open all night, they could see into our room from the peep hole and vice versa. creepy. Management refused to come down when requested.
I am sorry but I do not know-the bathrooms are pretty small-but for ADA purposes they must have some bathrooms equipped for folks with physical disabilities
