This was our first stop here. We stayed for two wonderful nights in space 32 on our way up the Oregon coast. Highly recommend the back up sites close to the beach. Ours had an partial ocean view from our trailer which was a nice surprise. The spaces are clean and ours was offset so we didn't have to stare at the side of our neighbor's RV. The campground is well maintained and the staff are friendly. The park is secluded from roadway noise so we could hear the ocean. The walk to the beachfront is short, and what a beautiful beach it was. Definitely would return!

Room Tip: Backup sites near the ocean are the best in the park, in our opinion! We stayed in space 32.

Beautiful property located on the Oregon Coast. Fantastic beach for walking, clamming and crabbing. One side is bordered by rock cliffs and tidal pools. Unusual geographical feature where ocean waves are guided through a narrow channel of rocks on the cliffs. If conditions are right, giant splash waves are formed. We stayed in one of the small cottages. They appear to be new. Very clean and comfortable. Nice local town with excellent restaurant choices. We enjoyed meeting the new manager, Ben. He was extremely accommodating and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The property is in great hands!

We selected a pull thru site. #7. The only negative is there is a glaring security light right at that site. Hard to sleep with that glaring all night. Restrooms/showers were clean but super cold. Hard to shower & probably used more hot water to compensate. Easy access to a really nice beach. We’d stay again.

We have stayed at Oceanside many times and I will continue giving it a star for the grounds. It’s a nice park tucked back from the road. There’s usually easy beach access, but that was wiped away this year and it appears as though they are trying to fix it. Their customer service, however, is completely lacking. Management does not return phone calls or emails. Front desk staff is rude and condescending. Rules have changed since the new corporation purchased the property a few years ago and additional fees are tacked onto your stays quickly and without explanation. We were fined because we asked a friend to meet us at our cottage for a quick lunch. The office called as soon as my friend parked her car and we were told we were going to be charged for having an extra car and people at the park model. Apparently no one other than others staying in the park are allowed in, even if it’s just for a couple of minutes. I contacted management through email but have been ignored. I’m so sorry to have to part ways with Oceanside, because I have years of great memories there. But we will now start renting a weekend cabin from Bay Point when we go to Charleston.

The setting of the resort is great - even with the unfortunate loss of sand and trees from the king tides a few months ago! Open the windows and hear the surf, take a short walk and stroll or run the dog on the beach. Campground was clean and small store was well stocked. The staff also made the 5 day stay a fun getaway. Specifically, Nate, Sophie and Jess at the front desk and Whitney in housekeeping - thanks for putting up with us and the dogs. A huge thank you to the contractor working on site and the amazing gentleman who chatted about KTMs and Betas with my husband.

We were charged an extra $130 upon leaving. The charges are absolutely unnecessary and FALSE. When questioned it was stated that we were charged extra for the following: Extra people (NO, we had the exact amount listed on the reservation) Extra time (we were 30 min late leaving, we will pay that, however NO ONE told us when check out time was and NO ONE was waiting on our sites) Site clean up (It was a stormy weekend and one site never even had a fire started! We cleaned up EVERYTHING before we left, no trash was behind at all. I would LOVE to hear what that charge was for. Nothing was left behind). You are apparently in the business of ripping people off.

We were charged $25 for a locked site. We didn't request or get one. I emailed the next morning and my card was very quickly refunded. Check in was easy. The set up was a little weird and sites are pretty close to each other but it was nice for one night. It's very close to Cape Arago. The sounds of the bay are noisy and there was a clang of something that I heard all night- that may be peaceful and relaxing for some! The store was nice and I wish we would have had time to explore the beach access and other amenities. Wifi access was good.

First...My husband and I were very excited to be able to stay at this resort...when I spoke to the lady to make a reservation, I had asked about parking at the tent site #35...and she told me it was not possible to park at tent sites, and that parking was available nearby. As we do not have a tent, but a pickup truck "Four Wheel" camper...decided based on this, that a tent site would not work. (and this was communicated) We were told that spot #24 was available...and we said ok...we will pay the extra to lock it in...and we are good to go. The reservation did indicate a "T" in front of the number...but not knowing your system, didn't think much of it. When we checked in, we were told we had a tent site...around the corner from the resort. I preceded to have a melt down, as we had just driven 12 hours from Boise to hear this...not what we expected. Now on a good note...Nate at the front desk should be commended on how he dealt with us and coming up with a fix. He was the go between from his manager (who we never saw) and he was so kind, understanding, and in the end was able to come up with a solution for us. I want to say Thank You to Nate (Connie was very understanding as well). These two employees should be acknowledged for their empathy and kindness...it truly goes a long way these days...Oceanside is very lucky to have them at the front desk! Overall it was a good stay, very close to the ocean, and a quiet rv resort. Lesson learned about making sure the communication is 100% clear and on the same page when booking a reservation. Thank you again Nate for saving our vacation...it was a special anniversary & birthday...so your efforts made all the difference. R. Smith

Enjoyed our 5 days here end of August 2020, wished we could have stayed longer. Made reservations 11/2019 and they were booked. So if thinking about staying here make reservations early. LOVED our spot, restrooms clean, laundry room clean ( 2 washers, 2 dryers), fire pits, no road noise AND COULD HEAR THE OCEAN AND SEE IT FROM OUR RIG!!! 41ft 5th wheel and will return!

I would absolutely not recommend this RV park. They do not have enough parking. There is room for one small vehicle to be parked in front of the cottages. We were informed when making our reservation that they had ample overflow parking. In reality there is 4 spots and 2 spots more on the other side of the park. This is not enough! Multiple people are going to have more then one vehicle. This is what happed when we arrived! No parking anywhere! We towed a boat hours away from home and had no place to park it. When making the reservation we were lied to and told there was plenty of parking and the employee even went so far to say we could park the boat in front of the cottage. We had family members that stayed in a RV spot and desperately we parked the boat in the dirt/sand in there RV campsite. We were told we had to move the boat because it was on the grass. There was absolutely no grass. Maybe dead grass that was covered with dirt and sand at best. If you are staying in a RV camp site beware you will not be able to utilize most of the space. The staff will make you move any extra vehicles or boats even if you are in your designated spot. Customers want to use the RV camp site not look at dead grass. After bagging staff to find a resolution and not wanting to drive hours back home, we were given the option to park the boat in a parking lot detached from the main park with no lights or security. The next morning the license plate for the boat trailer was missing. We stayed in a vacation rental. The units floor was dirty. I found a lot of hair. The loft area was not unusable. The stairs are extremely steep and small. The bottom stair was broken, half attached and hoisted up with wooden blocks. The mattresses were very soft with no support and uncomfortable. We will not be back. When checking in was informed of a damage deposit of $150. The employee told me it falls right off upon leaving. I was not informed of any $150 fee when making the reservation. This is not a hold they actually charge your card. It does not come right off upon checkout! I called three days after checkout and was told by the same employee that told me it would “fall right off” that it takes time. She informed me, First housekeeping has to look at the room, then they have to OK it with management, then management has to OK it with accounting department, then she said who knows how long it’s gonna take your bank. In reality it took over a week after checking out for the business to issue the $150 damage deposit refund.
