Stayed in Room 22 and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Great views of the coast and very comfortable, spacious room for ourselves and our two small dogs. The inn is situated just steps from the beach and is only a block from the center of shops, restaurants and activities. It would have been a perfect stay except there was no elevator, so hauling our luggage, dog crates and other gear up and down flights of stairs was not ideal.
This was our first stop during our vacation in Oregon and we absolutely LOVED it!! The staff was so friendly and welcoming. The location was perfect, the room was wonderful for the 3 of us, we had 2 bedrooms with a comfortable living area and kitchen. It was so nice having a fireplace to cozy up to. Loved walking on the gorgeous beach and having the deck to sit and relax at. They also provide wood (for a small fee) to make a fire on the beach in the evening which we truly enjoyed. 2 nights was not long enough, there is so much to do here especially if you are outdoor hiking enthusiast, we definitely will be back. Cannon Beach is such a charming town with such friendly people, October was the perfect time to come, no crowds at all. You definitely will love staying here, Thanks again to staff and adorable poodle for making stay so memorable!…
Wow! The area at Cannon Beach is absolutely gorgeous, and we were very happy with our experience staying at Lands End at Cannon Beach. Our room was on the second floor, and we had a partial view of the ocean which was stunning. It was nice having a kitchenette, and we loved having a fireplace as well. We were within walking distance of several restaurants and bars, which was nice not having to get back into the car. The manager came out to speak with us as we were watching the sun set, and provided some great historical information about the area which we greatly appreciated. Would definitely stay here again.
New favorite place to stay on the coast! My husband and I stayed in Room 15 with my senior parents and our small dog for a couple of nights, and it was a totally perfect layout (and location) for us. The terrace and beach were literally just a few steps from our door, and the room itself was quite spacious and a whole lot more tasteful than many of the spots we've stayed in on the coast. The hotel staff were very welcoming of our pup (which always scores extra points in my book) and had thoughtfully outfitted the kitchen with everything needed to prepare simple meals. The views are truly spectacular, the grounds are very tidy and well kept, and all of the folks we interacted with were just lovely (and observant of covid protocols/masking). A perfect stay and a perfect gem of a hotel!…
We had room 25 at land’s end and I can’t say enough good things about this place! From the incredible views to the warm room with wonderful amenities such as a free fire log a day to use. Friendly staff and a cute puppy at the front desk to greet you! Thank you!
It was a very nice, clean updated room! We had the 2nd floor ocean view and I couldn’t get closer to the ocean! The kitchen was well equipped! We enjoyed the fireplace in the living room! The front seat gentlemen was very polite and accommodating!
I have stayed at this hotel twice, renting both a 1 bedroom suite & their 2 bedroom suite. Both had amazing ocean views and easy access to the sandy beach. The suites are actually more like apartments with plenty of room & privacy if wanted. The kitchens were well equipped for easy meals and made eating in an option. Beds were a bit uncomfortable but tolerable (might just be me). The suites were both very clean & had a cozy fireplace for ambience while you shared some wine. And to top it off, there is a great coffee shop right across the street and it is an easy 1 block walk to downtown for shopping or dining.
Land's End is in a great location for people with small kids, because it's near Ecola Creek, where kids can paddle around happily and safely in the shallow water, away from the big ocean waves. Dogs are welcome for a relatively small extra fee ($18/night.) They have a small courtyard with a hose to clean off your and your dogs' sandy paws before heading up to your room. We had Room 25, which is an upstairs suite on the corner with panoramic views of that section of the beach. The room was clean and comfortable, and the kitchenette was well-supplied with small appliances, as well as an oven range. It was great to look out those windows at night to see all the fires along the beach, and with a table looking over the beach, you have the best seats in town for meals in the room. Lots of nearby shops and restaurants, too. Land's End is doing a great job of keeping guests safe during the current pandemic, as well. Masks are required in stairwells and other public gathering places, and they have contactless check-in/out.…
We keep coming back to Land End each year for our yearly Cannon Beach get away. We love the rooms and the location, plus they are super dog friendly. Beds are comfy and rooms exceptionally cleaned. Love having a kitchen to cook in.Due to Covid, they are offering non contact check in. We always enjoy interacting with Brett who knows how to do customer service to the fullest. He is always kind and accommodating, in fact when we called on our way we asked if they had an extra night open and they didnt, but he offered to find us one in town. Amazing! That said, there is a downside to Lands End customer service and that is the female manager. She is brash, impatient and not customer service oriented at all. We had to switch rooms during our stay, brett told us to try to do it quickly but not frett, etc. When she phoned the room was open i got a rushed response and told how we needed to make it quick and bring her our current key and she would then give us our new key and how and why we needed to move quickly as other guest were coming in, etc. She did offer to have a staff member move us if we needed. We experienced a situation where a family pulled into a parking space that is barely visibly marked for the manager. She came out and stated, 'did you get a new job?!!' The driver replied with what? And she went on a rant about how it was marked manager and he needed to move right then. They were guests. All and all we love the place, thats why we always book our next stay while on site.…
When we arrived for our stay, we were alerted to siding repairs happening outside our room. While there was an obstruction of our ocean view as a result, this isn't factoring into my review because the staff were upfront, apologetic, and reduced our rate as a result. Also, it's temporary and likely won't impact future visitors. Pros: The location is right on the beach. It's also in the main downtown core so we walked to dinner, shopping, popped into the small community theater for a play, and walked to Insomnia for tea the next morning. Its location is ideal. It would be amazing in summer. Nobody was above us so it was quiet, but I can't comment on the soundproofing regularly. The room is large and would be good for a family. Because of the repairs, we were the first guests in that room for six weeks which comforted me. When I stay in hotels, my germ freak brain has to ignore the fact strangers have been doing everything I do in there just the day before. It also helped my husband's allergies that no dog had been in there recently. Everything was clean. The room has a fireplace which always makes everything cozier. Cons: The window slides open wide with no lock or security bar to wedge in. We wanted to hear the waves but I was hesitant to leave it open during the night because we're right at the beach. The bedroom is immediately as you enter the room. Then the bathroom, then the living area. It's a bizarre layout to me because when I travel six hours for an oceanside room, I want to lay in bed and see/hear the ocean. The bedroom is right by the door and the window overlooks the stairs and recycling bins. I ended up sleeping on the pullout so I could fall asleep in front of the fireplace and wake up to the ocean. Bad idea. It's terribly uncomfortable; the actual bed isn't great either. Tip to hotels: invest in a decent mattress because that's ultimately all that matters. Other thoughts: The outdoor hot tub isn't super hot. We didn't use it. Our TV only got one channel and it seemed to be in Spanish so we took a movie from the office, Kindergarten Cop, because it's filmed in Astoria. I mean, who really needs TV in Cannon Beach anyway?…
