Our stay at the Stephanie Inn was incredible. The staff greeted us with a wonderfully warm welcome. I had mentioned in my reservation that this was a special occasion and a member of the staff called me to get the details. We were greeted with a welcome gift basket and a personalized card from the Inn Keeper. The property is flawless. It’s obvious they take great pride and care in this hotel. I wanted to have a room right on the beach, and that is exactly what I got. A first floor room will provide an incredible view of the beach/ocean but still give enough privacy so beach goers can’t see in your room. The rooms are gorgeously appointed with everything you could need or want, and very comfortable. The staff is amazing and helpful 24 hours a day, they really go the extra mile for their guests. One of the best things about staying at the Stephanie is the complimentary breakfast buffet. This is a world class breakfast you get with your stay! Plus it adds to the value of the nightly rate considering it would normally cost $40 per person. We loved our stay so much we plan to return annually for our anniversary. The Stephanie Inn gets my highest recommendation!

From the time we walked into the Inn until the time we left, we had a perfect stay. During these COVID times, being able to stay at this hotel with the perfection in service is unusual. There is a casual elegance feel to this Inn.
We had 24 hour homemade pastries, water and gourmet coffee and tea included in the room price.
They have a self service ice machine that you could use at anytime.
The Inn had parking on site.
The town was about 1/2 mile away by road (one big curve uphill) or you could walk on the beach past the Haystack and exit off the beach and be in town.
In town, there are a few public bathrooms which is important if you are going to stay for a few hours. If you eat in town at night, get reservations.
If you plan to go to town, go early because parking is impossible! I think the hotel may take you if you ask, but I was trying to get my steps in.
Breakfast at the Inn is topnotch. Homemade bread, pastries-cookies to die for.
Lemoncello at 9pm awesome.

Our room was on the Haystack side of the Inn on the ground floor. We loved having a walkout room. Rabbits were on the lawn most of the time. The landscaping was perfect. The view unbelievable. They have high quality binoculars in the room! I could see the birds on the Haystack! Can't say enough good things about the staff and the Inn. I am a Four Season's girl and this place took my heart! My husband is the hard one to please and he loved this Inn.

What a absolute lovely place to stay, we stayed for 2 nights at what was supposed to be a wind down from a skiing trip but even though the corona virus put a stop to that and we decided to leave early we still wanted to have our visit to Cannon Beach and Stephanie's Inn as it looked so wonderful, we were not disappointed and we were really glad we came even though all restaurants and bars were shut.
When we phoned and asked about moving the booking forward they could not have been more helpful and we were given a lovely room on the ground floor with its own terrace overlooking the sea which was idyllic.
From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out the staff and front desk were superb and made us feel very welcome, so thank you.
It was obviously challenging times for the Inn and they had to shut the restaurant but the room service was excellent and the breakfast really good.
the location is great and the Beach is such a beautiful place to wonder up to the town and back and even though the town was mostly closed you could see what a vibrant place it would be when fully open.
When this is all over we will definitely be back to ski where we couldn't this year and to revisit Stephanie's Inn and Cannon Beach and hopefully see it in it's full splendour.

On our annual trip to Cannon Beach Steohanie's has been a favorite for a first class dinner. NOT this trip. The Chef had done away with a full menu and replaced it with a two item, meat or seafood set selection. After arriving on time for our 530 reservation we were given a 2 item choice, $89.00 per person or with wine flite $126.00. The chef sent out a complimentary appetizer and then we waited for our server. Finally she came and we asked for the full menu and we were told the Chef on does the 2 choice menu, not because of the virus, but just new. We then found our that the whole dinning room was served in courses at the same time and we should expect to be there for 2 hours or more. We spoke to the hostess and told her we didn't have that much time and left. Unfortunately when I had made the reservation before the trip started they did not disclose the new 2 choice menu and army style of serving everyone in unison. NOT FOR US.

We spent a couple days here and the service and staff was very attentive. David checked us in and sent us to the Library to wait as we were about an hour early and our room wasn't ready. It was a rainy day so was a perfect setting watching the ocean. They have a complimentary cocktail hour and individual plated appetizers. They take Covid very seriously and we were ok with it. Our room was on the 3rd floor with outside deck and was considered a premium room. It was ok but not worth the $700+ a night. It was "tired" looking and rather blah in decor. While the views are grand you have to be out on the deck to get great views. You can somewhat see the ocean from your room and if you stand up and look out the deck sliders. Don't expect to get cozy on the couch in front of the fireplace and see the waves crashing. We moved the little table in front of the sliders to have our breakfast in the morning and to enjoy the view.

We ate in the dining room one night and I had the crab cakes and my husband had an amazing New York Strip Steak that was actually cute into medallions and was extremely tender and delicious. I had the Dungeness crab cakes and wish I had ordered the the New York Strip Steak. They were rubbery and overcooked. It was a set menu with wine pairings. I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt and perhaps was an off night.

I did have a wonderful massage given by the delightful Tenisha and it was heavenly!
Walking the beach into town was great and just meandering around the quaint town was fun. If you're too tired to walk back you can call and they will come get you in the Stephanie Inn Tesla.

Overall the inn needs some updating. I noticed on our deck if you were looking down over the deck there was a lot of slimy moss along the edge. I do realize it's very wet on the coast but when you see this and you're in a highly rated inn it really should be kept clean.

This is my second visit here and it is a lovely property. The location cannot be beat! I still highly suggest reserving the mountain facing suites instead of the ocean rooms. these are $100 less expensive and have twice the space. Two rooms, two bathrooms, a large kitchenette, a living room and separate bedroom and two balconies!

The staff, for the most part, are very generous and well trained. Happy to help at every opportunity.

my only issue is that when a hotel gets into the $500-650 range per night, an entirely different level of service and style is needed.

the rooms will need to be updated soon, as they are starting to look a little dated. I would highly suggest better coffee in the rooms like Nespresso makers or Starbucks coffee. While the afternoon cocktails and food are a nice touch, it is almost too minimal and the same offerings every day. It needs to be brought up to the next level, both in the appearance and options. Breakfast was very good and the social distancing seemed to work well.

Blankets for the beach were incredibly small...more like dish towels than a beach blanket. I also discovered that they were changing the sheets every day. Yikes! such a waste of water and staff. I don't need my sheets cleaned every day...please consider once during each person's stay.

I loved my basket of goodies when i got there and the personal note. thank you

I think having a staff member outside at all times welcoming guests when they check in would be a nice touch. it's more sophisticated and sets the tone when you enter the property.

Also, the fresh flowers are lovely. I think a hotel of this caliber should not have plastic Halloween decorations. real pumpkins are not more expensive

the only other issue was the people above me on the third floor sounded like they were moving furniture the entire time of my 3 day visit. I was beneath them on the second floor.

This was our first stay at the Stephanie Inn and it was so nice. We booked one of the dormer suites on the 3rd floor and it was palatial in size. The mattress and bedding were very high end. We had a giant ocean front patio overlooking the beach. We were able to keep the door open and enjoy the cool ocean air and the sound of the waves hitting the beach. The restaurant prepared a gourmet cooked to order breakfast (included in the rate) each morning and they had a nightly prix fixe menu that we enjoyed on 2 of the nights. The food and service was first rate. There was also a goodie basket of snacks waiting for us in our room. They had a daily happy hour and nightcap that were included in the room rate. While not cheap, this hotel is first rate and you get a lot for your money. Definitely can't wait to go back!

This was my 2nd time to stay at Stephanie Inn and despite the pandemic my stay felt just as personal as it did in 2019. I suggest you stay on the 1st floor, facing Haystack Rock so you can enjoy your breakfast outside then head straight to the beach. Every request (within reason I'm sure) can be accommodated. Between Happy Hour, nightcap service & the buffet breakfast I was never hungry but I made sure to save room for their evening dinner service because it's a 5-star experience in itself. Be sure to enjoy the bonfire package complete with chairs & s'mores! We did one every night - great way to enjoy the sunsets.

We have been to Cannon Beach many times but this was our first stay at Stephanie Inn. We stayed in a 3rd floor king suite. There was a nice gift basket full of treats waiting for us in the room. The room was super clean and the large bathroom with steam shower was awesome. Quiet room with a large deck overlooking the ocean and Haystack rock. The furniture was a bit dated and beat up and some areas of the carpet and flooring at the entryway needed work.
The complementary breakfast was fantastic and wait staff perfect. The afternoon happy hour included a great selection of local wine and beer but the food was a disappointment. This may have just been due to the COVID-19 situation. The food was a plate of vegetables, ranch dressing, and some cheese with club crackers. The complementary night cab offered several selections including a very nice local whiskey.
The location and direct beach access cannot be beat. As many others have mentioned, this place is expensive. And for the prices they charge, I would expect the Inn to do a better job refurbishing the rooms. But overall worth the money.

We booked two nights at Stephanie Inn for our anniversary after staying there a few months earlier for a random getaway. Everything from our suite to our couples massage was the picture of romantic (except the rain but not their fault).

We chose a dormer suite on the 3rd floor, and it was more than roomy for the 2 of us. The bed was extremely comfortable, the linens high end, and the pillows were nice and fluffy. Our room had a fireplace, a comfortable sofa, and a bar with wine cooler and sink. Once the rain cleared up on our second day, we took advantage of the beautiful balcony which offered sweeping views of Cannon Beach and Haystack Rock. Also worth noting was the bathroom was spacious enough with a separate vanity area away from the sink so both of us could get ready simultaneously.

On the day of our anniversary we scheduled an 80 minute couples massage at the Stephanie Inn spa. The masseuses came to our room to collect us for our appointments, and took us to the treatment room. Both women gave us separate consultation and asked us what we wanted them to focus on, which essential oil we wanted mixed with our lotions, and offered us a menu of add insult. My husband got a CBD infused oil, and I upgraded to the hot stone massage. Both women were exceptional at their services, and we loved our spa experiences.

Finally to end our wonderful anniversary we took the late seating at the dining room at Stephanie Inn. I had booked this online prior to check in and soon as we sat down they knew of my husbands shellfish allergy and had adjusted the offering to suit him. It’s a 4 course pre fixe menu available with or without wine pairings for each course. It was all amazing. We can’t say enough about how worth it is to schedule the dinner into your visit. The food was truly exceptional.

Between the room comfort, the amenities, the location, the friendly staff (front desk, spa, dining room, etc.), and the property, I highly recommend everything about the Stephanie Inn. It is a perfect getaway for couples exploring this part of the coast. We’re already talking about planning our next stay in a few months.

The Oregon coast can be fantastic in May and I would suggest enjoying the Inn and if it turns cold sit at the ocean front windows and have a hot tea, hot toddy or a large brandy.

My recommendation is to call and ask them. I was not aware of any policy about children, but it definitely is marketed for romantic getaways. I have also stayed at The Ocean Lodge and it is quite nice.
