We were lucky to find this place soon after landing in Cannon Beach. A beautiful view of Haystack Rock was ours for a reasonable rate and the kind concern of the hotel keeper who keeps her books the old paper way. Recommended!

Very clean room. This place is not fancy but so very comfortable. The lady who runs the place is such a sweetheart. We will be coming back for sure. We were blessed with such an amazingly sunny day. Thank you making our stay pleasurable.

I was visiting my brother for the 4th of July, who owns a beach house in this gorgeous unspoiled "Carmel" sort of town, and his place was full. This place is great! Location is super, plus adorable bunnies hopping around the lawns in the morning! Nice landscaping, clean, coffee by the office. My late husband and I loved it so... More

We loved this place! An older place but well kept. Every room has a view of Haystack Rock. Hard to get reservations. Plan in advance. Upstairs no balconies but screened windows open to the sea. First level rooms have sliding doors to patios overlooking the beach.

After staying at an oceanfront "resort" and paying exorbitant prices, we literally stumbled upon the Ecola Inn. It is small, only 13 rooms, and funky looking like a 1960's motel. But boy do you get your money's worth. It is smack on the beach with an excellent view of Haystack Rock. Rooms vary but we had the best one, #9... More

We just happen to stumble upon this place while visiting the haystack. We saw a vacancy sign in the window and decide to check it out. They were nice enough to allow us to check out the room before we decided but we were impressed with house spacious the room was. It was a huge bedroom living room combo with... More

Our family has been staying at the Stevens families Ecola Inn since 1988. My father will be celebrating his 94th birthday in July so we wanted one more trip who knows we might go again in September. Spectular view and the sunset was amazing. I was able to prepare delicious meals in our comfortable room with a spectular view of... More

This was my first stay at the Ecola Inn, although it had come highly recommended by friends. It has a history of being "charmingly rustic," but with recent renovations and updates, it was surprisingly modern. Room/Beds: We had two Queen Beds in Room 6. Clean and comfortable, made It very difficult to pull ourselves out of bed each morning. We... More

We love the Ecola Inn. Many years ago, we stopped in randomly at this small older motel right on the beach and loved it so much we have been coming back for a week every winter--and we live 700 miles away in California! SPECTACULAR views--Haystack Rock, sand and ocean right out front. We love coming in winter--might be sunny spring-like... More

My wife and I have stayed here for many years when coming to Cannon Beach. We have enjoyed the view of the beach, the friendliness of the owners of this family owned hotel. The rooms are always clean and well maintained. The kitchens are well supplied with everything you need to prepare your own meals. Then sit at the table,... More
