This beautifully wooded property at the quiet south end of Cannon Beach takes full advantage of the beauty of its' natural setting. The architecture and scale of the inn is very residential and cottage-like. Some guests have equated the feel of The Inn at Cannon Beach to a very high end summer camp for adults and families. The warm natural wood exteriors provide a rustic backdrop for the breathtaking native plants, perennials and long blooming annuals that color the property throughout much of the year. Fragrant garden paths with towering spruce trees meander between the various cabin-like buildings creating a sense of escape. The Inn’s central courtyard serves as a social gathering place for guests to come together in a beautiful woodland setting. Many find a sunlit bench the perfect spot to begin a new novel or to enjoy the wind in the trees. Our naturalized pond and it’s flowering borders is a center piece of the courtyard and attracts small wildlife and birds of many sorts. Voluptuous hanging flower baskets fill the walkways with fragrance and the occasional beat of hummingbird wings.Guest rooms are warm and inviting with all the comforts of home. The rooms are cozy and enjoyable on a stormy winter day with the fireplace ablaze and a good book. And when the sun is out, guests throw open the windows to enjoy the birdsong and salt sea air, taking their book outdoors.

This Inn was lovely. We had a King site which was huge; a very comfortable bed with choice of pillows- one full and one softer, table and two chairs, pull out couch and a kitchenette with wine glasses and coffee mugs, and a gas fireplace, which came in handy when the winter weather turned to cold wind and rain. It was a winter mid week special of $99 per night plus taxes, which included a full breakfast buffet and access to a local gym and yoga studio daily. Also included was Kierug coffee pods, free DVD rental of tons of movies and a free microwave popcorn with each rental. It was a fabulous bargain. We had a lovely stay; loved the resident bunnies (3 black and one dun with black face) and loved that the beach was 2 blocks away. There was also a small grocery and pizza takeout right across the street. The bathroom was large and had a combo bathtub/shower and single sink with lots of storage. Only down side was that it was about a 1/2 hour walk on the beach to downtown, not walkable on the road.

Our cousin was getting married at Cannon beach and we used a google search to find somewhere to stay. We ultimately picked this location due to affordability, no hotels are cheap in the area, but this place has a lower price point than others. The hotel was so accommodating! We arrived very late in the night/early morning and they stayed to allow us to check in at 3:30am after our flight was delayed. They have freshly baked cookies daily, offered to mail cute post cards for us and we’re just over all very friendly. The room had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, it’s a very short walk to the beach. They offered free chairs and blankets to take to the beach if you need them. It was a great place to stay.

In 2023 our pooch won a swag bag at the Mutts 'n' Moms Dog Show that the Inn has hosted for over 20 years now and one of the prizes was a free night at the Inn. So we included it in this year's return trip to Cannon Beach to check out what others have described as a great experience. We weren't disappointed!

On the surface, the property itself is almost a "Surfsand Resort Lite" in terms of beach access, amenities, and beautiful campus, all for much less than what the Surfsand is now charging for a night's stay. The staff are very friendly and really do reach out to you (and your puppy) to get to know you as family. The breakfast (included with the room rental) is a definite bonus and offers more than adequate fare to get yourself going. Parking is ample, especially in comparison to other local properties, and not as crowded (with people or vehicles) as other locations.

Our room was modern and clean with everything fully operational. We were in the back, next to the breakfast room, away from what little hustle and bustle there was elsewhere. It's a straight shot to the beach (about 1 1/2 blocks away) and you're on the south side of the Haystack Rock complex (very convenient for "sun over your shoulder" photography).

The lack of a hot tub and pool was probably the only distraction here but, honestly, we didn't need it. The outdoor gas firepit (which comes to life in the evenings) was the perfect place to watch The Moon set over the ocean.

Looking forward to going back!

I've stayed at this place a couple times and I've been so very impressed each time by the quality of service by staff and value of my stay. The Inn at Cannon Beach is in a beautiful and convenient location, with easy access to the beach and town. The rooms are very clean, tidy, quiet, and comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and whimsical. There are thoughtful touches everywhere - including fresh baked cookies, coffee/water stand, puppy welcome bags/supplies, two free, sustainable rain water bottles, entertainment options with DVDs and popcorn, and very welcoming for pet owners. Breakfast options are of good quality with a lot of variety/options in a beautiful dining room, Chihuly glass included. And Staff are consistently excellent, friendly, welcoming, and professional. Looking forward to returning!

Loved our visit. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful, office was open with free beach chairs, towels, coffee, board games and dvds, cookies, postcards, etc. Breakfast was good. Access to the beach was excellent. Price was a little high, but it was truly the highlight of our trip to Oregon. The beach was stunningly beautiful and so clean and safe that we were able to decide at 9:00 pm to buy a firewood kit from the office and walk over to the beach and make a small bonfire. 12 pm check out time allowed us to sleep in, have a great breakfast, and still have time to pack our stuff up.

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel, it was quiet and relaxing. All of the staff were really friendly and appeared to care about the hotel and guests. Our room was very clean, had a microwave, small sink, small refrigerator, Keurig and there was a front and back door to our room. The hotel serves a breakfast with an assortment of hot and cold foods. The fireplace in the room kept it comfortably warm. They understand and make accommodations for pets so we were able to take our dogs with us. The hotel had doggie towels for drying our pets, and blankets to put over the bed along with food dishes, treats and toys. They have a doggie house board in the lobby that lists the pets name that were staying there. The grounds are nicely kept up and they have lounge chairs around the property with a pond in the middle of the courtyard. We walked across the street to Tolovana Park and encountered 3 elk munching on plants in a yard along with bunnies hopping all over the place including the hotel grounds. We felt very much at home staying there, and we will be returning. Oh, and businesses in Cannon Beach were decorating for Christmas so it was beginning to look very festive!

Attractive, comfortable rooms with balcony views of the lovely grounds and resident feral bunny colony to go along with the evening frog songs made for a very enjoyable stay. In addition, the location cannot be beat with two local markets nearby and the beach with Haystack (Goonies) rock across the street. Wonderful Downtown Cannon Beach is a short and easy drive.

The front desk staff is hugely accommodating and friendly, the daily breakfast is adequate and in a lovely setting, and the fluffy luxurious towels in the room cannot be beat!

Inn at Cannon Beach has excellent, friendly service with many welcoming, homey touches such as free DVDs, cookies, popcorn and chocolates in the room. The rooms are clean and come with amenities like a fireplace and a jetted tub. The location is also very near the beach with a couple dining options within walking distance and a full Continental breakfast provided as well. I always feel right at home here.

Our first stay, and we absolutely loved it!

The staff was very welcoming and kind, and the little touches make this hotel feel like a home away from home. The grounds are very inviting and spacious, with many areas to sit and relax while watching the resident bunnies hop around in comfortable Adirondack chairs, including two courtyards.

Our room was very clean and big, with amenities such as a kitchenette, extra towels, a very comfortable bed and large updated bathroom.

We were greeted with cookies upon check-in, many kinds might I add. The hotel hosts a complimentary bbq on Saturday afternoon's so that took care of lunch for the day and was fun! What a treat. The breakfast is also included and there are many options for all or things to snag for later, as well as coffee around the clock which was great.

You can buy firewood for the beach, and they also have chairs to bring if you forget your own. There is also a small convenience store and the grocery store within walking distance, in addition the Warren Pub right next-door which was fabulous.

Our room was cleaned each day when we returned which was great, not once did we have to call to ask for anything as it was already taken care of. Although the TV at least in our room was not a smart TV, it did have cable and the front desk offers an ample selection of DVDs to borrow including new releases.

The only issue I had was that our room was right next door to the staff kitchen and breakfast area, so we were woken up very early from noise. But we rented our room on Expedia and felt like we may have got the last one available for the weekend, so we weren't too bothered by it and it helped us start our fun days earlier.

Over all, it was a fabulous stay and will be our go-to next time we decide to come to Cannon Beach! Thank you!

My wife and I stayed here for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Desk and kitchen staff were very friendly, welcoming, courteous and respectful. Only a block from the beach. Our room faced the courtyard and the numerous wild bunnies of all colors that patrolled the lawn. Breakfast was great, though eggs other than hard boiled would be welcome on occasion. Lots of great choices though. I have only two minor complaints: shower tub drained slowly, so be prepared to have standing water a little less than ankle deep. And would appreciate a different complimentary body lotion as I thought I was gonna' need pliers to squeeze it out of the bottle, it was so thick. We would gladly return though, as we had a wonderful stay!

Thanks so much for your interest! Our property sits one block inland from the beach - an easy walk and your toes are in the sand! The rates listed on TripAdvisor appear to be for a variety of dates - the best way to check availability for specific days is to call our reservation staff at 800-321-6304 or check our website (TripAdvisor does not allow us to include a link in our response - but you can find a link on our listing profile!) Both will have up-to-the-minute information on rates and rooms. Thanks again, please let us know if you have any other questions!

Hi jm, thanks for your interest! The drive is about two hours, depending on traffic. While we do not offer an airport shuttle, you may be able to hire a private car service; and there are several rental car agencies at the Portland Airport if you prefer to rent a car. As an alternative, there is a Greyhound bus which runs twice per day from Portland to the coast--public transportation from the airport to the Greyhound station is fairly straightforward as well. Feel free to call us if we can be of further assistance!
