The Beachfront Inn garners praise for its scenic ocean views and prime location close to the beach, enveloped in quiet surroundings that many guests adore. The staff's friendliness and the satisfactory breakfast often receive positive remarks, although some travelers have experienced issues with the elevators and spotty Wi-Fi.
While the atmosphere is generally considered clean and comfortable, opinions on the rooms vary, with certain guests finding them to be spacious and others noting cleanliness and outdatedness concerns. Despite the appreciation for clean facilities and some amenities, there are reports of maintenance problems, and numerous guests feel the hotel doesn't offer good value, pointing out overpricing and hidden fees.

I stayed in a newly rennovated room with elevator access. Staff is very friendly, nice and efficient. Basic hotel breakfast, but fresh with the breakfast staff keeping things stocked and clean. Great location next to harbor.

My husband and I spent one night here on our way up the coast. I chose this Inn because of its location right on the beach, and couldn’t have been happier. We booked an executive room for its panoramic views and large soaker tub overlooking the beach. The room also had a full kitchen so I cooked a nice dinner in the room to help mediate the extra cost. This was a great decision, because we arrived in the midst of a snow/hail storm. If you prefer though, there is a bistro restaurant directly across the street that I believe is part of the complex. The room was very clean, and spacious, the bed was comfortable and we loved watching the waves crashing in and the boats going out from the adjacent marina. The free included breakfast was extensive and we enjoyed it in the morning before we hit the road again. In spite of the sketchy weather, we had a lovely stay, would recommend it, and would stay again. *Note, the first floor rooms are “pet friendly”, which is great if you’re travelling with animals, but personally, I don’t want to stay in a room there’s been a pet in as I sometimes suffer from allergies!

This resort consists of 3 buildings, one of which is right ON the beautiful beach. Our room was on the 3rd floor of this building and was a spectacular location for watching the sunsets. It's a relatively new resort and the rooms show it. Very nicely decorated with contemporary furniture and a comfortable bed. The room was quite large and has a small balcony with two chairs and a little table. Unfortunately the elevator has been out of service for over a month (we were told) as they can't get anyone to service it. Our room was impeccably clean and equipped with a small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. We believe this resort is the very best one in Brookings and will definitely stay here again (when hopefully the elevator is repaired).

We checked in around 4 pm and was given a room that had just been “cleaned”. The floor was still damp and looking under the bed sheets, we could see some hairs on the bedding. We didn’t feel that the room was properly cleaned and sanitized. Good that we were prepared for such a situation that we brought our own beddings and pillows. We had our own alcohol bottle and fully sprayed the bed, the floors and other surfaces in the room that would normally be used or touched. We them covered the bed with our own beddings and used our own pillows. I probably would not want to stay here again (nor have an overnight stop in this town as it seems to have a dearth of hotel choices). From the reviews we saw in trip advisor, this was one of the hotels with a better review. If so, it just goes to show that there is not much choice in this city.
Other than the cleanliness of the room, the hotel location is oceanfront and we could hear the waves from our room which was very relaxing.

Beautiful view..
Great beds.
But....They didn't remove the trash from our room prior to our arrival. Some gross stuff on the wall idk what it was.ewwe.
Be sure to bring your own towell theirs are like sand paper and they smell like wet dog!
No ac and the electric fans they provide are filthy.
Shower has THE WORST water pressure!. They need to remove the flow restrictors from their shower heads its just unacceptable.
Be prepared the beach is almost all ROCKS. You need river sandals!
Other than the few issues we encountered we think it is a great place to visit.
Brookings is a lovely charming seaside getaway.

Our family just spent 4 nights at Beachfront Inn. The location is really great; it is very close to the beach and you can walk to close-by restaurants and shops. The room itself for the most part was fine; the beds were comfortable and the room was clean enough. The staff was friendly and nice. One thing we really looked forward to was sitting on the balcony, having a glass of wine and watching the waves for a bit each evening, but we could not really do this at this place because the balconies were ridiculously small. The chairs they had out barely fit and it just would not have been a comfortable space to sit. Not only that, but my children were so excited to use the pool, but the pool heater was broken and the hot tub was blocked off. My teenage spent about 5 minutes over there, then came back to the room because she said the water was way too cold. The breakfast offered consisted of individually wrapped items, such as bagels and muffins, oatmeal, some yogurt, fruit and other little things. We heard people complain that the breakfast used to be better, but I feel like they did the best they could considering the limitations they would have in order to make the breakfast Covid-safe. Overall, we did have fun despite the disappointments, but if I were to come back to the area, I would look for other options before booking here again.

Way overpriced for what you get. This is essentially a motel, but on the beach and charging you $200+ a night (5 star hotel prices) for a dated motel room. That would be fine if you could enjoy the beach but expect to spend all night with smoke blowing into your room from bonfires on the beach (so you can't open your windows and enjoy ocean breezes). So basically, the one thing worth paying for is ruined. The rooms don't have AC, so your room is either hot or smoky. Calling the front desk is useless, they tell you there is nothing they can do (totally not true, the beach literally has a sign that says "No Fires"). For a hotel to charge $200 a night, attention to these kinds of details is key. I wouldn't care if I were paying $60 at the Motel 6, but considering I've paid less for suites at 5 star hotels with impeccable attention to detail, this is a complete waste of money.

Thank you so much for your recent stay and for your feedback. We certainly want to address any issues our guests are having regarding fires on the beach. As a public beach small fires are allowed daily. We do work with our local fire department to ensure we don't get anything out of control. Thank you again for staying with us.

Staff in the lobby are wearing masks but not a single person on the housekeeping staff were wearing masks on the property. They were cleaning rooms and standing at their carts with room doors open not wearing masks. Housekeeping staff are not thoroughly cleaning rooms. We found a pair of dirty socks on the floor of our room upon check-in that was left by a previous guest. We sterilized the room upon entering with Lysol spray and chloride wipes. I found hair on the sofa from previous guests and dust on light switches and surfaces. I do not believe these rooms are being sanitized as promised by staff.

Thank you for your recent stay with us. We are sorry about the room, I will address this issue with the hotel staff. Housekeeping will put on mask when they come in contact with a guest. Otherwise we require them to wear one because they are primarily outside. Again thank you for your stay and your feedback.

We splurged for a King Superior room with an ocean view. The room we were given was on the third floor, at the far end of the property from the office. When we attempted to go to our room, I couldn't get the elevator to work. So, I walked all the way back up to the office to see if there was some trick to operating it; a key or code to use. I was informed (at 10:30 PM), "Oh yeah, that elevator hasn't worked for some time. We keep trying to get someone to fix it, but ..."
I have a bad back and a serious heart condition, so I asked how was supposed to get over 100 pounds worth of luggage (this stop was part of a longer trip) up two flights of stairs. There was a frail, older woman working in the lobby, mopping the floor who offered to help. There was no way that was an option. I turned to the desk attendant and said, "I am paying over $300 per night for this room and I have to drag luggage up those flights of stair? Is there nothing that can be done? She informed me that "I am only the night auditor, so you will need to talk to the manager in the morning.." Well, that isn't really going to help, since I need my luggage and need a place to sleep TONIGHT.
So, I wrestled the bags upstairs, and thankfully didn't die or cause any back injuries. The room was adequate, and the balcony and view of the ocean was lovely. There was a "Message" light on the phone which flashed all night. I checked, there were no messages, but also no way to stop the flashing. I threw a wash cloth over it and went to bed.
The fact that this elevator had not been working for some time, AND there was no mention on the website of having to navigate stairs to a third floor room is completely unacceptable.

Yes, we have a couple charging spot available. Please bring your own charging cord.
There is a small redwood forest 8 miles up the north side of the Chetco River. Or, drive 20 miles south to Jed Smith State Park
It is located in the harbor, so there are restaurants and stores near. There is also the beach, which is lovely to walk on.
Yes, all the pet rooms are on the ground floor and yes, the noise is terrible. No insulation of any kind. The beach is dirty. There are much nicer places.
