We have stayed here 5-6 times, always in a different location. The cabins are cute and have kitchens, which means being able to stay in if we want. Some have hot tubs, which are always nice after a long walk on,the beach. We stayed in T-13 this time, had a decent view of the ocean and it was quiet, there is one direct neighbor to the right. Our teens love our family stays here as well. We always look forward to staying here!

We arrived late to the resort. The cabin was very comfortable but will no onsite shop open (it was after 8pm) we were ill equipped. The title ‘Beach Resort’ is a misnomer - the US101 is in between the beach and the resort. The resort is an ugly sprawl of cabins on the hillside above the 101. The cabins are squashed together, everyone is overlooked so there is little privacy from the neighbours. The on-site restaurant and bar are closed till further notice, so no food and drink available. Quite surprised that such a big site had so few amenities. For that reason and the location I would avoid it.

The unit we were assigned was very dated and hot. The staff advised there was no A/C so we asked to cancel and get a refund which the management was kind enough to do. The location is great but we moved on to Florence OR.

This place is amazing. The cabins are spacious. It is across the street from a beautiful beach with large rocks and splashing waves. It was wonderful to sit in the hot tub and look at the beach and forest. Highly recommend!

This cabin has an awesome view of the Pacific Ocean! Wonderful smells from local plants and trees too. Pretty sure I heard owls in the 80ft Sitka spruce trees east of the cabin. These are park model RVs with furnished kitchens, decks and some with hot tub spas that have everything you need, and nothing you don't. Beautiful Whaleshead Beach is 1/4mi from the office down a fairly steep dirt road that I don't think you would want to walk down, plus crossing Hwy 101 at the bottom of the hill with log truck traffic could be dangerous to your health! We stayed in Cabin i-1. The owners (these are individually owned, and all cabins aren't created equal) had just installed a new Hot Springs Jetsetter spa, which was the best spa I've ever experienced, and beautiful at night with all the LED lighting available. This spa had two jets that constantly cycled rapidly up and down about 12in on each side of your spine, that I had never seen before. It had a 2in foot cannon that was pure heaven after walking the beach all day. There was a brand new king sleeper sofa in the living room I slept in. These new sleepers have done away with the dreaded 'bar' that caused many travelers sleepless nights and sore backs. Recently updated living room with an electric LED log fireplace/heater, and a new Samsung 4k TV above it with soundbar. There was a cool new coffee table where you could elevate the top for eating. The loft had two new memory foam full sized mattresses. Guessing you could put 4 smaller kids upstairs. There are outlets for electricity there too. Kitchen and living room windows all face south, so this is a sunny place. Outside is a maybe a 15x20ft shingled overhang for shade and protection from sun or rain. A small Weber gas grill is there too. *Office said all the above things were new when I was here October 2018. Smells and lack of wear seemed to confirm that, and tags were present on bedding. I stayed in a cabin here in the lower part of the resort last spring that reeked of mildew. Real happy with this cabin, so it will be my go-to rental in the future depending on its availability.
