Detailed Reviews
We were only able to stay one night because of an RV trailer leak but this was the cleanest on our trip. Bathroom and shower were spotless, rec room room came in handy since it was raining. Concrete slabs with no grass… even for the dogs. Sandy and Bob were amazing and very helpful. Great location by water

This is a well maintained RV park located by the Brookings Marina. It is centrally located within Brookings, spotlessly maintained, and features concrete pads. The spaces are tight, but the wifi is good, and the hosts are lovely people. I would stay here again if in the area.

First the negatives - I called and reserved one of their long pull through sites for my 65 foot rig with toad. I was willing to pay a premium to not have to unhook the toad. I was told the site was 80 feet long. That should have been plenty of room. It turned out the front and rear sections of the site are on a slope, and I would not fit without unhooking the car. I was not happy. When we left, we had to back out because the slope of the site would have hit both ends of the rig. There was only 1 other long pull through site on the property and it wasn't available or a 100 foot site as they advertise. They may have 106 sites, but the majority of them looked to have a park model on them. Driving through the park is tight. I would warn anyone with a long rig that is expecting a large site, there is only one usable site for you. If #35 is not available, don't bother with this park. Satellite dish wouldn't work. Cable was poor. I asked for my Good Sam discount and was told, "We are a Good Sam Park and everyone pays the same price." I am not sure what that means. They also advertise FMCA, but don't offer the discount for that club either. I didn't use any of their facilities so I can't comment on those. It appeared to be mostly permanent residents. The pros - The park was clean and near the harbor and shops. I wouldn't stay here again.

I requested a space on short notice for a July weekend. Although my call went to voice mail, I received a call back within an hour and an offer of a space. Although spaces are close together, they are level and and hookups are easy to use and work well. WiFi at the site did not work, but by taking my computer to the Rec Room I had good internet access. The restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities were spotless, and all appliances were modern and worked well. Coin-operated, of course. There was a view of the Pacific with a cool fresh breeze. A satisfactory sea-food restaurant and bar was across the street, walkable, with outside seating. It was just a short walk to the beach from our site.

Came in last minute looking for a location within walking distance to the marina for an early morning fishing trip. Got us a spot and location couldn’t have been better. They do charge for showers which was just fine with us. We walked to dinner and for ice cream.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time at the brookings coast for Fourth of July week; spending time with family, exploring the tidepools and enjoying the amazing beach weather. All in all it was a great time, minus the extraordinary display of discrimination that came from the owners of Portside RV Park. I give my fullest thanks and appreciation to the onsite management of Portside RV Park who fought for us to be able to stay and apologized end over end for the words and actions of the owners.
Truly kind management, friendly and caring! Went beyond to make us feel welcome despite all of the bumps in the road.
Owners on the other hand wouldn't allow myself and my boyfriend, a disabled vet to stay or visit with family due to our appearance.. my fire engine red hair (and im sure my piercings/tattoos) and his mountain man beard. They made a quick judgment on our character based on our appearance, and yet never once came around to apologize for themselves. If they would have taken the time to introduce themselves they would have found out that I have been a nanny for over 10 years and that my boyfriend gave 3 years of his life to the Army for his country. The owners only came around after we had gone.

Driftwood or anyplace else in the area, as good views, less $$, no bad Mgr! The pay for use showers are unkept, slippery. Three peeps fell while I was there. The wind hits the park directly so any rain, fog will block any view. The wind will rock you rig. I had to replace the plastic shims with 4" x 4" x 2' blocks. Electric is much higher than other parks. Internet is very, very slow. Nice club house but low/no heat.

When my friend and I arrived we were met by a helpful and friendly person at the front desk. The park was clean and well-maintained. Our stay was very pleasant and we will stay there again. I loved that the park was just a short walk to the ocean.

Kevin and his wife are awesome hosts to this RV park which has a great harbor view.
It was just by accident that we happened to find this place. We were looking for something comfortable to stay the night. We drove into a few places but just didn't' seem right. As soon as I saw this place, I loved it. Beauty in the eye of beholder but I love the concrete pads and clean set up of this place. No tracking in dirt or bugs for our stay here. It has great showers, laundry, easy in and out with RV.
We just popped in around 9:00pm but Kevin was very welcoming and friendly. I wouldn't say just popping in is a good plan but it was how it worked this particular night and it was a good experience.
The price for this spot was very reasonable. Especially with the view and two restaurants right across the street on the harbor.

Clean laundromat and restrooms. Easy spots to access. Right in the harbor area of Brookings. Easy to walk to a small shopping area and a few local restaurants. Not a "campground" - but a very clean RV Park. We have stayed here several times and always enjoy it. The hosts have always been very accommodating and pleasant.
