We stayed for 3 weekday nights at McMenamins Old St. Francis School and once again enjoyed the ambiance of these properties. Very thoughtful decor and features in the rooms - night light in bathroom and local guide books as examples. Room down hall from reception area in main building was surprisingly quiet. Do think they need to upgrade their mattresses,...

We stayed here for one night and wish we could have stayed longer. The front desk staff was awesome, always available to answer questions with a smile(no matter who was manning the desk). We had a King Size room in the Education (Ed) House, which was a nice size room and very clean. The bed was comfortable, my only complaint...

Love the soaking pool, main restaurant, fireside, O'Kane's, and the broom closet! My boyfriend and I went out for a date night and explored the new building and enjoyed a very comfortable viewing of Logan in the theater. Hoping to get to come for a night or two for a little "staycation" here soon.

My husband and I just stayed at McMenamins Old St. Francis School in Bend, Oregon for a family reunion. FIRST PART - HOTEL The hotel is quirky like all McMenamins. We stayed outside the main building and opted for a king size room in the Art House which is part of the few buildings attached to the hotel. Again, the...

McMenamin's has something for all moods. It takes up 1/2 a city block and is great for any weather because they have fire pits if you like to be outside or a variety of warm cozy rooms inside. I hate smolking so outside is never for me but everyone else seems to like it ESPECIALLY the cigar smokers, YUK. They...

I spent two nights in the Ed House and found it totally relaxing! The room was cozy and so very pleasant, didn't feel like a hotel room! I met only one person in the hall, maybe because I'm an early riser? I was also pleasantly surprised to find no one in the soaking pool!!

I've been to two McMenamins locations. So I was excited to bring family to the Bend franchise for lunch. Staff is always friendly. And the pub is full of old posters and pictures that share the history of this old school spot. Needless to say, we were hungry...so it was nice to see the restaurant was not busy. We thought...

Fun place to stay in Bend. Rooms in the new building were really comfortable. Good beverages and outdoor fireplaces to enjoy the weather regardless! Don't miss the secret rooms, especially the secret bar.
