We loved Pronghorn and look forward to returning again in the future. The staff was all, the property was fantastic (there is a great walking trail) and the food was good! It was a perfect getaway and the location wasn’t too bad, even tho you felt like you were in the middle of nowhere.
Highly expensive with limited experience Mountain View is basically the rooms facing in the direction of the mountain with or without the actual ‘view’ The first floor rooms have pation outside but mostly blocked by fenced swimming pool The dinner restaurant has berry limited menu with no options of chicken, veg or vegan
My sister and I got an opportunity to go on a trail ride at Pronghorn Resort this past weekend and we had an absolute blast! My husband was able to arrange a private ride for us and Chris was such a great guide and made it such a fun experience for us. I can't wait to come back and go riding again! Thank you!
We stumbled upon Pronghorn looking for a room in the Bend area, and booked it on a whim. We had no idea what to expect, but were in love with the resort from first sight! We don't golf, and we have little kids, so we took advantage of the multiple pools and played. You are so secluded out there, but there is so much to do! We'll be back!
Everything would have been perfect had our rims air conditioner been able to cool down the room. Unfortunately, even at 68, the room was hot and uncomfortable to sleep in. Otherwise, everything was wonderful. The room was very clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and wanting to accommodate us. The coffee in the morning was delicious. The grounds were very pleasing to walk around.
We had a great trail ride! Chris met us first thing in the morning and provided a great experience for us. He was very easy to get along with and made sure you were taken care of the whole ride. I would highly reccommend, we'll be back again!
This place has gone downhill. I've visited many times in the last 10 years and I won't go back until improvements are made. No pool service, no good food options, dirty room in need of maintenance. Only good thing going for this place is the location and the golf. All the other amenities have taken a nose dive. I understand that some of it is the pandemic and employee shortage, but charging pre-pandemic prices and getting nothing for it is frustrating.
I traveled to Pronghorn for a long weekend with my daughter. There did not seem to be many amenities that were great for teenagers. The pool at Huntington lodge is beautiful, but it is adults only. The family pool located nearby is okay, but not nearly as nice. Additionally, there was a wedding on the property one of the nights we were there and that made the hotel very loud all night with the wedding party. The hotel lobby/bar was full of people drinking so again, not a great "family" atmosphere.
Great golf. Totally chaotic property Nice people but no one knows how to run the resort. IT problems. No cleaning. They trapped my car by surprise resurfacing of the interior roadway. No one (ever) answers the phone when you call from outside and in 5 days they could not get a working phone into the unit. I feel sorry for the nice people who work there. The chaos creates a lot of stress for them. Shame. Shame. Shame. No excuse at this price point.
A lovely property with interesting art and architecture. Staff was friendly and accommodating, but perhaps a little ignorant due to a recent change of ownership. As an example, at least two staff members did not know about the walking/biking path when I inquired.
