Room was clean and affordable. Bed was well made and room came with a mini fridge and a microwave. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The hotel was also located in the center of town which provided easy access to all of the sties I wanted to see. Everywhere else in bend was really expensive but the staff here was...

The motels in Bend are pretty rough and a bit over priced. We payed $78 for one of the smallest rooms ever, but it was clean and completely remodeled. We got lucky. The best thing was that there were some really great restaurants in easy walking distance.

Jose and Anna in the office are wonderful and friendly. The rates are low for bend hotels, especially when other hotels in the area are nearly or above $200 on weekends. Not to mention their newly remodeled rooms are well kept, clean and worth the price. Thank you for your hospitality.

I am writing this review as I sit in room 28 of the Royal Gateway. Before I start, I should probably let everyone know that I am a native Bendite. We moved out of the area about 9 months ago and are here visiting family. So I knew the Royal Gateway wasn't a classy place (literally, every other hotel was...

No screens on the windows. Outdated everything. Bathroom door wouldn't shut scraping against floor. Odd smell of food coming from the office. Staff I'm assuming owners very unfriendly, I felt like I was in trouble just checking in. When I checked in my kids were with me but they were going to stay with their cousins. The man checking me...

My room was dingy and old with worn out carpets a plug ins that didn't work. Then my room was broken into in the middle of the day (no one else was broken into) and my laptop, laptop, and other miscellaneous items were stolen.

Our visit was more recent - July 2012. The room was clean but VERY cramped, there were no screens on the windows, the on-site management was non-existent most of the time, the beds were hard and the phone books were ancient. I recommend going elsewhere if you can manage it.

We visited in 2007 they may have changed things since but I wouldn't bet on it. It was late, we were tired and everywhere else was booked full. The room was dirty and the TV was setting in the fireplace. It wasn't until we were completely unpacked that we saw the first cockroach, then another and another then more. We...
