We were thrilled to be able to experience a tiny house and Sheltered Nook did not disappoint! Darling and well-appointed. Very clean and comfortable. Loved the resident dogs that came to visit. For anyone fascinated by the notion of living in a tiny home, do not miss this!
Such a cute idea! We loved staying in our tiny house (#2, beach theme). It had 3 queen sized comfortable beds and smaller versions of everything you’d need! The kitchen was well stocked with essentials, plenty of towels, ear plugs, eye masks, your own grill and Netflix and Disney +. The staff was super friendly and it was really quiet. We walked out a trail on the back of the property and down a couple of blocks to catch the sunset on the bay! Fun and clever idea... would love to come back with a group of friends or as a family reunion!
My wife and I have watched many documentaries on tiny-homes but have never lived in one. Sheltered Nook gave us the opportunity and we loved it. There were doggies, ducks and chickens on the property... do I have to say more. :-)
I've long been intrigued by the tiny home movement and now having stayed in one, absolutely love it! Sheltered Nook is unique, super clean, very friendly and a real delight-----I walked around the property's little meadow in the morning dew. Magical. Accommodation is bright, spacious, comfy.....and we are already planning a return visit. Great for singles, family or couples. The "Tiny Homes" have separate bedrooms, kitchens, even lofts! 100%.
I'm in love. Nicest little place with the nicest staff. Meeting other travelers at the bonfire making smor's at night is simply fantastic! Getting local beer on tap in various size bottles and buying local wine is just great service. The rooms, the facilities, the details, the atmosphere - could not have asked for anything more. Even my children loved it!
I stayed here one night on a road trip with family, but wish it was more! The location is peaceful and relaxing and our tiny house was cosy, immaculate and well equipped. The owners are really friendly and attentive. We couldn’t have asked for more. I will definitely be recommending this place to everyone!
Never having spent any time in a “Tiny House” we took the opportunity to test drive one at Sheltered Nook. The 2 days we spent there were a very pleasant experience from the moment we arrived. Bay City, OR, is a great little place on it’s own, the Sheltered Nook which is tucked away from the main hwy fits right in with the area’s atmosphere. Six Tiny Houses surrounded by tall trees, a centralized fire pit for socializing if desired, comfortable accommodations and best of all pet friendly. Each house comes equipped with a stove, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, etc. all in a good sized kitchen. Plenty of space in the living area, queen bed in the master, two beds in the loft and even a reasonably sized bathroom with shower. More than adequate for two people. Families might have to fight over bathroom time but there is plenty of outdoor recreation area on site to send the kids off to. The staff there were more than helpful and friendly. I’d definitely stay again. As far as Tiny House living, I’d buy one for a summer cabin - Travlin Matt…
We (my wife, our 12 and 19-year old daughters and I) booked two nights. Everything was ready for us. The location is beautiful, and it is only a short walk to Tillamook Bay. It is set back far enough away from the highway that noise was not a problem. The Wi-Fi worked well so we could plan our adventures in the area. The tiny home is comfortable, and all the appliances worked well. The stove heated water impressively quick! We slept well on the beds and stayed warm all night. On the night we did not eat at a local restaurant we bought groceries at the local Fred Meyer and ate in. We had all the dishes, cookware and utensils we needed to heat up the clam chowder and prepare the salad we bought. Breakfast consisted of scones, yogurt and fruit conveniently left inside the room's fridge. It was nice not to have to get up early to get breakfast items in a common dining room before they run out. The front office had a small store selling snacks, draft beer, and other consumables. It also has a lending library, DVD movies, and board games. When they are allowed out, the two standard poodles greeted us and enjoyed our attention. The cat, Mittens, couldn't have been more adorable. My daughters considered her a highlight of the trip! We hope to be back again for another stay before too long.…
Spent two lovely, quiet nights at Sheltered Nook. Accommodations were wonderful, the tiny home experience was unique. Loved the cat, dogs, chickens and ducks roaming the grounds. Hosts were so thoughtful in the amenities provided - even marshmallow toasting forks at the fire pit! Will be considering this spot for a future family reunion.
Excellent! Host were great and this includes the two properly dressed dogs (had a tie on) Mittens the cat who is super cute and owner property managers. The houses are fully loaded and super clean! We are a party of 5 and the tiny house was incredibly comfortable. The location is near the creamy and a number of incredible hikes and sites. 5 Star...every business should operate like this!
